Powercoated Nurburgring Rims - Love the LOOK

Yes another set of Nurburgring rims on a SHO. Similar to another member, I decided to powercoat the wheels for several reasons. First was for a low maintenance solution to wheel care and durability. Secondly was appearance. I wanted a gloss black look rather than the matte black that came from Nurburgring. Thirdly based on several members feedback the matte black finish was not very durable, hence the reason for powercoat. Overall I am very please with the look of the wheels and am very excited to get them installed. I'll post pictures on the car once installed.

Lastly I have a question for those that have installed aftermarket wheels. I bought these wheels used and they were on a 2010 Flex. They came with wheel spacers(not sure I have the correct name here) and the size on them are 76.0 x 64.1. When I got the wheels powercoated they removed them I am assuming I need to re-install them and that these are same size for my 2013 SHO. Can anyone confirm?

Hmmm.....  :hmmm:

Oddly familiar there My Dear Watson....  :smoke:

Look'n good! :thumb:

I've never used any type of spacer when mounting my TSW's, I'm sure you'll be perfectly fine.

Those do look awfully nice!!! Would love to own a set, but I think my mod money is being commandeered for a winter beater to keep the SHO away from the harsh winter months ahead.

Nurburg never came in matte black mate; they were some funky machine polished, bronze, and gunmetal.

I agree the factory powdercoat doesn't hold up well; mine sure didn't last winter so I had them done matte black with better powdercoat and heavier layer. They are holding nicely except for a few nicks from rocks (can't help it.)

I love the look of my matte black.

They look great man! Eager to see them on your car soon.

I'm sure he was--sadly they are nowhere near black.

God this brings me back to the pain of trying to match that freaking color before I decided on matte black.

I want to see them on his car; I've not really seen anyone with glossy wheels except the stock ones.
