I noticed Powerstop is advertising cross drilled and slotted rotors for 2013 SHO. I don't know if they are correct or even for Performance Package.

Has anyone seen this? It's on their website.

I emailed them.

Sent from my mobile, I think.

Yeah; I was thinking about it last night -- I want different rotors on my car. I also see they are marketing their top of line ceramic pads for SHO too.

Waiting to hear from the email if these are even accurate or for a PP car.

I don't think PP cars can use the same pads as the non-PP car.

I'm pretty sure they can, the only difference is the pad compound.

Fingers crossed; and one more damn thing to add to my ever growing mod list.

UGH.

Now I'm having an issue finding anyone that actually has the kit.

I'm looking for the COP STOP package

Our stock brakes are pretty competent, I will probably wear them out first.

Let me know what you find out and if they are actually compatible for us.

Response from Powerstop.

Hello Storm,

Thank you for your interest in Powerstop. My name is Ishmael and I will be happy to help you. I do not show a submodel for the SHO having a Performance Package other than the factory package on this model. We do offer performance rotors and brake pads for the 2013 Taurus SHO. Please research the package for your model and then visit us at Powerstop.com for the application.

Thank you.

Yeah, didn't really answer my question.

If I recall the only difference is we have thicker pads right? Calipers are same between PP and non PP car?

Sent from my mobile, I think.

The answer you received, was appropriate, as it pertains to the brake components.

No difference in calipers/rotors.

Just pads are different.

Which wouldn't effect design aspects on their end, as it relates to the products they offer for retail sale.

So even for 2013+, only the pads are different, Mike?  Wonder if PowerStop has already maxed out the swept area with their Z16 pads.  If so, then that's great!

2013 was a major redesign in several areas of the system over all,  versus prior model years.

But as it relates to the differentiation between the "packages" only difference is the pad material on the PP's from what I had seen when the 13's were released.

Yep, and I think the PP has a different brake booster caliberation that's more aggressive.

If that's the case then their Z16 kit or Top Cop package would work.
