Product question.....

Do any of you know of a quality screen protecting type film that I can install/place over/on top of the Navi Screen/Head Unit on my 2010?

One that would obviously retain the functionality of the touch screen as well, while exhibiting its protecting qualities.

A direct link would be much appreciated.

I ask, because now that I can watch videos while the SHO is in motion, I pay more attention to the slight wear spots on the screen that are beginning to develop and I am interested in preventing further wear.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you bunches Manu.

Truly appreciated. Not often I ask much of the community.

So the assistance provided is very helpful.

manu:
do you think this would solve the glare problem that i have with my evo digital gauges in crashes gauge pod, that are great at night or cloudy day but with sun out have trouble reading.

As long as the daylight/sunlight does not hit it directly, yes it should work.  That's a "limitation" if you will.

They have a daytime type of material if you will.

Claims to cut down glare, etc.

This is the add on option I ordered for my Navi screen.

Check out the website Manu linked me to for specifics.

The window Tint should help somewhat with the glare and the elements, minus the SHO-GALS Red long nails.Lol.,enjoy.  Z  :)

Well, desiring to make sure I had a clean, professional, blemish free install.....

I took the time to dismantle/tear apart my entire center console, so as to allow the head unit, and more importantly the ENTIRE screen of the head unit, to be exposed for proper install.

I did so with the intent of having no plastic trim in the way, which would likely cause both bubbles, as well as all the edging of the protecting film to not attach properly and/or lift up.

So I am SUPER glad I took that extra time as noted above. The install came out flawless, and I am kicking myself for not having done this mod much earlier.

The screen looks brand new once again. The anti-glare properties of their daytime material made watching videos during the bright sun yesterday an enjoyable experience. I even had all the windows down as it was a stellar weather day here in the CHI.

Just as good as the above experiences, the fact that fingerprints aren't left behind, will make cleaning so much easier.

Thank you for the referral! Easiest and best well spent $20 some odd dollars for my SHO to date!

Glad everything went smooth and without a hitch.
I always found patients to be the key factor with any such install.
bpd1151 any before and after pic's?  enjoy. Z  :)

Hard to discern from before/after. At least via camera that is. Especially my craptastic cell phone camera on my refurbished Note5.

Lol. That sounds old. Note5. Meh.

Despite a lack of images, I highly recommend this $20 investment. It will save y'all headaches down the road.

Preventing wear/tear on the OEM surface is akin to placing a screen protector on your portable electronic devices.

You won't be disappointed and you can view the results 1st hand for yourselves.
