Question- Passanger side defrost blows cold air

Hi,
      I have 2010 Taurus SHO-when I put the heating system on defrost the passenger-side defrost blows only cold air. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it myself?

Welcome to EBPF!  Where are you located?

Are you hearing any clicking sounds?  Possible a blend door actuator (accessible through the glovebox) has failed & needs replacement.  If not that, then possibly the climate control module needs replacement.  Check the coolant level also, though low coolant would affect the entire passenger compartment.

Is there a separate temp sensor.on that vent?

Sounds like the classic blend door actuator. Not a easy repair, but it can be done. With the right tools and a lot of patients.

i think chris & manu have it right, blend door my '10 is on 3rd one.
