I ran the 1/8th twice tonight.  70 degrees out and light wind.  I had just under a quarter tank, no spare and lowered my Continental DWS06's to 30psi, traction control off  I launched both times at 2000rpm. I'm still not happy about my reaction time but it's getting there.

Race 1: 8.4400 @ 83.79 mph  60ft - 2.00

Race 2: 8.4458 6.4458 @ 82.71 MPH 60ft - 1.9698

Congrats on the nice passes!  8.4 in the 1/8 mile is basically a 12 second car which is great for a 4 door sleeper Taurus.  Friend of mine just purchased a 15 this week and added his tune last night, still ear to ear grin while walking all over Mustangs and Challengers on his way to work this morning he said.

Keep at it and I'm sure you will get those reaction and 60 ft times down as many others have on here.  Practice makes perfect!

Just trying to help and not insult intelligence - but when do you react to the tree?  Do you leave on green or the last yellow?  There's only a 1/2 second between the yellow lights so if you leave quickly after the last yellow you can almost nail a very quick reaction by hitting the green when it lights up.

The tree has three yellow lights and a green light all spaced exactly .500 second apart, just like Glock mentioned as soon as that 3rd yellow light counts down just floor it. Z

Keep in mind your reaction time does not subtract from your ET.  Many people think if they are sleeping it the tree that it costs them in the long run for time slips.  This is untrue for guys that are just looking to get a good ET , not racing competitively.  The clock does not start until after you cross the line.

I know this is common knowledge for most racers, but you would be surprised when talking to customers how many are not aware of this.  Just figured I would help drop some more knowledge on the newbies out there in case anyone was unclear.
