Re: 13 SHO speed limiter?

I thought it was 136 or 137mph when I got mine.  I took it for a run before tune and hit just over the 140mph and let off since that's where the speedometer ends.  I have a 2013 PP, so maybe that made a difference.

PP has different final drive.

My 2008 Limits at 110. Moving to 120 with my tune tomorrow... Since thats where the speedo ends.

Usually Ford puts limiters on pretty low, usually to do with their cheap, low speed rated tires. Different story on the SHO.

Not sure if it was stock or not.  Backed out when my wife started freaking out a bit.  Right time to do so as about a quarter mile later cops were sitting under a bridge.

What gear was it in and what RPM was it at?

It could be drag limited then. Only way to really tell is by having data logging going on at the same time to watch for the throttle to drop out.

I put this together using the 2013 SHO PP gear ratios proving that the car is not limited by the gearing.

With regards to your post about it possibly being drag limited, I have run the car up to the speed limiter multiple times. Each time the car falls on it's face when the needle hits 140. When I get my car back from the dealership I will record a 0-140MPH video, as well as, datalog the run for everyone to inspect

Did you seriously lose on a pull to a 2010 Mustang GT?
A 315 hp car that weights 3500 lbs. The SHO weights 4350 lbs and has 365hp, but a bigger drivetrain loss because of the AWD system.
From my experience, both cars, in stock version, run around 13.7 sec at around 103mph.
That Mustang may have been modified if he was pulling a lot, if not the fact that your wife was in the car and maybe you had more fuel etc. made a bigger weight difference.
But to make sure it never happens again, you may consider a nice tune and with just that, you should be able to keep up with the newer Mustang with the 5.0L... Just sayin'!
Be careful on the road!

That could be an expensive ticket!
Just for purpose of thinking, the cops were probably more than a 1/4 mile after... At 110mph, the 1/4 mile only takes about 8 seconds! That passes fast!
