This is a fantastic idea, and have seen it utilized elsewhere & definitely encourages members to take pride in their ride, and allows other members to offer continued encouragement for future ownership and/or modifications.

Besides ROTM, of the 12 hypothetical winners in any given calendar year, a potential vote (in January of any following year) for a "Ride Of The Year" or "ROTY" could also be had.

Featuring each ROTM winner in the forum home/front page would be cool, as well as the winner of ROTY.

Few other suggestions:

Limit amount of entrants

Limit amount of submitted photos, I.E. 3-6 total pics of varying angles, interior, exterior, engine bay shots, etc. Then once voting commences, allow only one "voting photo".

Perhaps offer vehicle specific months, or eventually, as interest & membership continues to grow, classes such as stock, lightly modded, performance, aesthetic, etc.

NO PHOTO SHOPPED IMAGES

Any mods depicted must be real, and have been completed to be considered.

No voting for one's own vehicle.

Umm, IDK...... what else????

BPD has the "Ride Of The Millennium" title all locked up!!

He didn't know it, but I ate my breakfast off his hood every morning at the 2012 SHO  Conv!  It's that spotless! ;D ;D

I just noticed this post from you EBB..... and got a hearty laugh out of the "Millennium" comment.

Very gracious of you.  :bigthanx:

I am fortunate to have had so many talented individuals and companies help extract all of the ideas bouncing around in my head, in order to make them a reality.

As far as you eating breakfast of my engine bay every morning at last year's National SHO Convention.....

You did what!?!?!? Why I oughta....  :bangin:

LOL.... but seriously though, it takes a crap load of time in order to get my car looking as spotless and showroom new as possible.

As Rick LeBlanc (formerly of LMS, and now working for FMC) stated recently....

"You know Mike, for you to be competing with the likes of trailer queens, and still pulling awards away from them, knowing full well you continue to DD your SHO, speaks volumes of detailing abilities".

Another gracious comment indeed.

Speaking of gracious, IDK how I feel about entering ROTM. There are so many great EB vehicles out there, each who's owner's have done some pretty incredible things with them, that I'd hate to overshadow their own individual accomplishments by entering my ride.

Well, at least right off the bat. I'll graciously step back, and dip into the shadows for the 1st months on this contest, to allow others to shine accordingly.

Best of luck to all entrants!

Now let's start seeing some of these entries ladies and gents!  :victory:

I haven't responded because I had Official "Roll-In" for the 2013 DUB Chicago show.

Been yet another, long incredibly labor intensive day.

Just got home a lil while ago, & ready to pass out. The actual show is tomorrow.

As far as my model friends (in that sig image) those images were captured from the 2013 World Of Wheels Chicago Show (where I took the award for "Best Ford" & a cool $1K in prizes).

The young ladies were all very gracious to work that show for me & I rewarded them accordingly. Married or not, they were appreciative.

I'll just leave it at that. Now back to the topic of this thread.....

EBB You are right!!!!! Over at TCCA they rewrote there COTM contest rules. You could put your car in every month until bpd won it 5 MONTHS IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never put my car in the contest when bpd's car is there.LOL

Don't forget to get all your pictures taken this weekend.  August Ride of the Month submissions will be opening up over the weekend and polling will start shortly afterward.  Hopefully, we will get six submissions from owners of various Ecoboost equipped vehicles. When we get six, any submissions after that will be forwarded to September's Ride of the Month contest.

Moderators and Admins should be ineligible for ROTM.

My 2 cents.

When we get a little bigger we will institute that rule

Sent from my phone with lots of misspelled words...

Everybody is eligible.  I might even get in some month.

I (w/o anyone else nominating me) may choose to enter at some point as well.

But I am in agreement with you Dave, would like to not only see more members involved, but would also like to see the community grow a little larger first.

Please feel free to post your comments on ROTM submissions here.  We are trying to keep the submission threads clean of comments. Thanks!

Dave:
Sorry about messing with your thread. I just got blown away with Steve's misfortune with his Beaut of a '10 & was expressing how down I think all of us would be in losing something like his SHO that he had spent lots of time & money to get it top drawer & then losing it to a freak of nature.

Thanks Mike,
But hey, you know what, one needs to take advantage of opportunities and I decided to switch my mods to a new 2013 and add downpipes on it. The only thing that I regret is the blue wrap... I really liked it and it stood out a lot!
BDPMike also had a misfortune with his prior Charger and once you get bitten with the mod disease, you just move forward...
But, that is why I asked Dave the permission to submit my 2010 ride for ROTM so that it can RIP, hopefully on a good note...
So far, it still doesn't have any opponent... : (

Don't worry about it Mikey.

Come on guys!  Get those entries in!  :bangin:

Steve:
Larry had convinced me to put my SHO up this month, but will wait as I agree this would be a great note for your baby to RIP & should be a unanimous winner. & yes getting bit by the mod bug is hard to stop, but so rewarding when you know you first of all starting with a rare car & then turning it into a one of a kind.
MikeV

Please submit it! I'd rather win or lose against someone then to win by default... Anyways, you can always participate in the future. Listen to Larry and join me please!
Thanks
