Rear locking doors how do I get them to unlock when passenger wants to get out

So the last thing that really annoys me with the Taurus is getting the rear doors to unlock when you open the door from the inside without needing to hit the unlock button

That's not the case if I turn it on then even hitting the unlock button doesn't open from the inside only from the outside

Sounds like the child proof locks are engaged?

Try looking for a slide switch in the door behind drivers seat.

I have clients in the back seat a ton.  My Marauder didn't auto unlock all the doors like my SHO does.  When I'm engine off, and open my door, it unlocks all remaining doors.  Super nice.  I like it.

Yes mine does that but I would like if someone wants to get out before I do or if I'm just dropping someone off it's not very often so I forget and then there are times I have to get the kids out but leave the car running because I have to move the car it has been a normal thing I just grab the driver door on the outside to unlock quickly but it's something I feel I don't need to think about

Thinking of opening the innerds of the door to see if I can rig something different maybe just order front door handles to switch it out with

I agree with OP.  I'd like the rear doors to open when the rear door handles are pulled as well (THIS is what child locks are supposed to prevent), however I don't think our child locks work like this.  Not that I've found anyway.

*...still holding out hope that someone has found a way to have them unlock when the rear door handle is pulled.*

What about autounlock when you shift to park? or disable autolock?
Child locks prevent rear doors from opening on inside, locked or not.
Or do you mean you want rear doors to open from inside, locked or not, Exactly like the front? Ive never seen any vehicle have that capability...
The fronts do it mechanically i think btw, kinda like pulling up on the lock post thingy

Disable auto lock or learn a new habit.  Child safety locks 100% disable the inside rear handles.

The rear doors can still be unlocked and opened if the occupant lifts the pin up on the door panel.

Last vehicle I came from GMC terrain operated it's locks the same as the front door also doors unlocked  on park

Taurus I have to turn vehicle off and then open my door for the rest to unlock

So looks like I will be looking at the door innards to see how I can modify it to work the way I want it to work.
