Redline and ecu cut

What is the redline on these SHO's?  Secondly, it appears the 13's will just shift instead of bouncing off the rev limiter.  What is the rev limiter on these a Electronic Throttle pull or fuel cut off?

What RPM does the ECU bleed boost towards redline?  Are the tuners adjusting the redlines or boost bleed?

That was supposed to be one of the features of the 4+.  Keeping the boost to shift point.  Stock boost drops before the shift point.  You could be on to something.

Yeah, don't like that she shifts automatically--even if I turn everything off she still does it.

Bugs me because there would be a reason I would want to bounce off the limiter.

Maybe keeps more boost to redline.  I wonder at what rpm does the ecu start to cut the psi?  Whatever that rpm is I want to know.  Anyone?  Stock or tuned?  4DRHTRD,Darrell speak up.

Does everyones shift out of second extremely quick? When using the paddle shifters it seems once I hit up to 2nd it automatically jumps to third. Irritates the snot out of me.

Im almost done with my mustang build, and then Ill start putting parts on the SHO. As of now shes just plain stock non PP, but for a 4400 pound car it sure is fun to drive.

My car just keeps pulling hard through the whole RPM range so I don't think it's a good comparison. I know when I used to run 100 octane with my nitrous I turned off the juice at 6K and the car shifted by 6300, those 300 rpm took a long time.

Boost on these cars is load dependent, more load more boost. Once initial load is gone boost drops off. On my car I see peaks of 18psi but only of the and on gear changes, but quick drops to a steady 15psi.
I agree boosted these car seem to fall flat in 3rd, well at least mine did as well before meth. I think possible by the time you reach 3rd the turbo's are so hot that they are loosing efficiency. But I do agree short shifting 3rd does seem to bring into the power band better, I plan on at septembers LMS meet to ask dan if he can change 3rd gears shift point. Maybe 500rpm's sooner. Try once at track leave in auto til I hit 2nd then shift M so I could shift to 3rd, but that will take some practice. I prematurely shift 3rd immediately after pull into M.

I have been complaining about the paddle shifting since I got the car last August. I was so dissapointed to learn these cars autoshift in manual paddle mode. With the LMS tune, at WOT the car will hit redline and shut down in 1st. But not if you turn off traction control. But sometimes this car still autoshifts. I can not get consistency. Traction control off provides the best shifting though. I just picked this up off another discussion here. 1st-2nd would slam and I was worried about the tranny, but with traction control off the shift is much better.

LMS just sent me new tune files that extend the turbo boost to shift point. Its been raining all morning so my play time is limited. I run 93OCT tunes.

My understanding is the 2013's will auto shift regardless to prevent from hitting rev limiter.  What year is your's?  Now the 2010-12's I'm unsure.

So yesterday with paddle mode on local roads WOT 1-2, and 2-3 traction off
I bumped the limiter and it would not autoshift. But a few minutes later getting
On the parkway 1-2 autoshifted on me WOT and because I hit the upshift
I got the 1-2 auto and mine took me immediately into 3rd. I cant find any
Consistency in paddle mode.  I am running LMS93OCTv6, and use the paddles
In "S" not D.

I just had same thing happen in paddle mode.

I was at light to make u turn and did so, in first, then punched it and shifted to second, hit limiter and completely killed my car. I had to let off throttle for it to shift to third after hitting paddle. It's like it completely didn't register me hitting it first time to go 2-3.

Im not using these anymore. Gonna blow my damn transmission up.

Sent from a mobile, I think.

I hate my paddle shifters.  I wish they would have used a side gate for the stick with +-.

Manual shifting sucks unless its an actual standard transmission or a Dual Clutch Automatic where you get instant gear changes. When you have to compensate for when you want it to shift beforehand that gets tricky. If it shifts for you, well thats just annoying. If it doesn't, then you have to be sure to hit the paddle before you hit the redline and it cuts you off.

Pretty sure that when you hit redline it just drops out the throttle, don't think there is actual fuel cutoff until a few hundred RPM after redline, if you magically manage to get that high. I know in my car at least (not an ecoboost), if I watch APP/TP and I put it in L, it will rev up to my redline of 6300rpm and the throttle will just drop way out to maintain that 6300rpm. Same thing if I hit my speed limiter of 110mph. Throttle drops to about 30% even though APP is still at 100%.

I gotta get my car tuned just to help the dreadful throttle response and pesky limiter.
