Researching New Brakes

AT AutoAnything from my past experience that they would knock of 10-15% off the price if you speak with a representative over the phone at the time of taking you order and verifying fitment to play it safe,PP OR NON PP.

urgh.... lucky you SHO-TYM!!!! the fronts will be in tuesday, then the back set won't be in till who knows.... DAG NABBIT!!!!! might as well just wait to put em all on at the same time, then i won't have to play the "brake in period game" twice. lol

My car is a PP but the nonPP BRAKES are the same but for the up-graded pads! The PowerStop are a 1000s time better than the stock PP!!!

They look good on there SHOMAN04,what are the pads semimetallic or ceramic and how about the dust levels,i like the slotted and drilled combo compared to the drilled which are vulnerable to cracking??

I did PowerStop drilled and slotted front and rear rotors and Akebonos for the pads and I love them so far. No noise, excellent braking, no brake dust. PLUS.. they are easier to warranty if there are issues so consider that also. Good luck!
Thats the same setup which i had on my other car, great stopping power and very quiet and very low dust on the ceramic pads, compared to the oem which get dirty after a week of washing them, good choice.

Also keep tabs with "SHO-TYM" he already got his set in. I'm not too sure how it all works with shipping to Canada. But I can tell you was shipping was free for me, VIA UPS, From Las Vegas, NV.

I am planning on putting the new rotors and brakes on this afternoon as long as my plans don't change. I have been really busy lately, and haven't had time to knock this out. but it is killing me to look over in the living room and see 4 boxes of goodies begging me to put them on..... SO I will keep everone updated with pictures, before and after.

Please do, figure the front will take about an hour or so. But i'm unsure on how long the back's will take. Given the E-brake/parking brake has been a royal pain for me in the past on other vehicles.

Regardless, I'm quite giddy right now to see how it turns out!!!!!!

Having the appropriate tool to turn the piston and press it in at the same time makes changing the rears as easy as the front.

apparently i need to find a freight forwarder. I dunno whats up with that but 650 is just crazy good for me. when i price it out else where its 850-1200 atleast. Ive noticed my brake feel is a little weird like a rotor is out of wack so i wanna fix it before the winter

Just a heads up, just realized that my amazon pads ended up being for the pp SHO.... I looked at my new rotors after my test drive, and the pads aren't touching the whole rotor.... the pads have a different shape. I don't know if this is a bad thing or not....

EBC REDSTUFF PADS for non PP #DP-31873C---PP SHO#DP-31767C.,,ITS AMAZING HOW MUCH CHEAPER THE PP PADS ARE THAN NON PP.

How did they feel when stopping?
They feel ok when stopping, there is a slight squeel when I start applying brakes.... but other than that, they feel even and strong.

It is a little crazy that the non PP pads have more surface area than the non PP pad.... seems like that should be the other way around.

Maybe that top layer is just a little thicker on one side. I imagine the side showing more use is the side that meets the spinning rotor first. If they're stopping decent with no pull, not broke don't fix it? Lol

If they stop fine and there is no pull i wouldnt worry, there is always going to be an uneven side when rubbing against the rotor, until you break them in,visit EBC site for break in and bedding procedure, thats why you have the squeak, make sure not to stop completly when doing the process, good luck.

That's actually my pic I took of  the difference in pads.
I thought it was strange also, they will squeal/rattle a little until bedded or broken in. Also the dust will be heavy for a few weeks.
But once they fully brake in its like throwing out an anchor compared to stock setup.
