2010 no-pp SHO with 50K miles.. all options except Nav/touch screen... Blue.. extremely clean... Mods are as listed in my signature... Any recommendations on listing price? I'm thinking just following what is going for sale around town vs KBB.. which would be around $18K...

I think a reasonable price would be 16,500 considering 2017 is right around the corner, best of luck to ya.  Z

I would say list a bit higher than what you really want, so you have wiggle room. Sad to see the SHO go. Also, may want to update the sig, as I think some of those mods have moved on?

I keep seriously considering getting a SHO to keep stock/basic bolt on (essentially where my PP is now) but with ACC, etc. and then race-mod the crap out of the '15.

Also, consider returning the car to stock, and selling the bolt-ons seperate. Depending on the buyer, you may get more this way.

Damn it....it was a great running car...wish we couldve seem dyno and track times

Maybe one of us needs to buy it? Would be cool "fo SHO" if another EcoBoost Performance member picked the car up.

Geeze bro..Slow your roll... I haven't officially listed it yet.. just getting an idea on how much to list for...I'm terrible at selling cars I always sell low...Just getting input lol...

I might need to move in order to get my son into a better school district.. which the average home price is 500K for around 1'500 sqft home... Hence looking at offloading the SHO...I don't have too...But freeing up the funds might prove beneficial..

Gotcha, I'm one to count my chickens well before they are in the pot so to speak. But totally understand, just will be sad to see it go if you decide on that route.

I certainly hope you do not have to sell the SHO, but the reasoning is impeccable.  As derfdog said, I do hope a member of the forum sees the value and snaps it up should the sale happen.

Thanks for the positive info. I will know more by the end of the year on what needs to happen. Maybe if I can find a linked dynojet I can get some numbers to go with the forsale ad :-)

I think it honestly will be closer to 15k private party just looking at retail listings around Chicago.  The last couple years have not been kind to SHO resale value.

I just sold my 2011 non pp with nav, 401a pkg, sunroof and contour seats with 81k for 14,250. That with me transferring the Ford Premium Care balance to the new owner that covers to 100k.

Yea prices in Northern Virginia are a bit inflated... Here a 2011 with 100K+miles for 16K at a 3rd rate dealer..One step above chop shop... The next is a 2013 with 80k+ miles for 18K...

Sadly depressing for current owners :(
I don't see it that way... 7 year old domestic car with 50K miles selling for approx 36% of its original value.. could be a lot worse..Ask the VW guys lol.. it's not like these cars are super unique like the 1st-3rd gens with Yamahas...

Picked up my Latest 2010SHO With 48K, nav, 20"s, Sunroof and Collision avoidance for 16K OTD,
3M & Weathertec Included, from a caddy dealer (in the CHI town Burbs) @ thanksgiving WKend.
Super clean, So i thought i got a SUPER DEAL.. Sticker was 46250.00 ... So what did the guy
get on trade in....?

Hmm.. they may not have made much on that car... They may have made the money on what they sold him, not what they are selling his trade in for.. who knows...

ford has done us such an injustice. maybe the right car at the wrong time deal. but even when i bought mine from dealer off the lot they had to give me almost 15% off list for me to buy if of course it was june '10 & had arrived in 12 of '09. yours is one of the few like mine that has a borla catback, to my mind  better sounding & better looking than corsa.

If they had released this car in the mid 2000's as opposed to the early 2010 they would have been road kings for years... Plus if they used a twin turbo Yamaha motor...With a manual option... And yes... Those dumb seats with the adjustable bolsters that no one admits they love... Lol... So many ifs..Regardless...fords cars have never held value extremely well...

Except the cobras, 03/04 terminator is still 16-25k depending on mileage, condition, options, etc. I have seen a few low mileage SHOs listed for less than 03/04 cobras locally. But that is a totally different beast, rather than taking a powerplant that is in many fords and making a performance option to one model (taurus) ford made a specific powerplant for a specific muscle car.

I think if we wait long enough, the SHO value may rise a tad, but the big issue is not many know what they are. And as you said, no manual option is a bit annoying.

From a modder/performance standpoint, I do think there are some SHOs that are worth more than others, based mainly on the input of those who have worked on them/driven them. Ie. your car is supposedly a "freak" that will take a whole lotta spark on pump gas, that adds value in my eyes, but not to most.

Right.. hence the Yamaha comment.. the older shos held their value well..Just took time to sell them... Specific engine for a specific car like you said...

The gen 4's loose that uniqueness because there really isn't anything really special right? Nothing in these cars that can't be found in other Ford models... Except maybe all the a$$holes that drive them

I just never look at cars from an investment standpoint because to date I have never MADE money off a car...Closest was my wife's Fusion... And we sold it for what we paid for it after two years of driving it...
