New SHO being built! Birthday is 5/16/15. Ordered 3/20. Trading my 2013 328ix.
Details: Deep Impact Blue/ Mayan Grey. PP. NAV. Sunroof. 401a.

Great forum. Looking to add a spare tire/ Jack, then scout out tuning.

This will be the third SHO (my wife had a 1990, then 1992).

Welcome to the forum, Skylane, glad to have you and your soon-to-arrive SHO here!  I hope the transition from stick to auto will go well ;)  Are you looking to keep it stock?

Welcome skylane !!!!! DIB is one of the best colors for the SHO.

2010 RCM non PP
K&N panel filter

unleashed 93 performance+boost 3bar
more to come.....

Thanks everyone. The 328 is an automatic- a great transmission! It's an F30, which is a little bigger, the steering not as good as the previous 3's. It's fairly quick for a 2 liter. The SHO is bigger/faster/more fun! The stick from the earlier SHO's were ok, but as I have aged, my knees prefer the automatic!
An interesting tidbit: I'm a Taurus (5/6), and so will my Taurus.

Congrats, that's a rare combo.  I couldn't find any Impact PP SHOs when I was looking.  Which wheels did you get?

A tune is a must, the way this car should have came from the factory.  Then Ford could have bragged about having a high 12 second AWD sedan...

Thanks. My dealer couldn't find anything to my liking with the PP, so I ordered it.

I got the flower wheels. And I plan on a tune after break in.

Does anyone know if Ford Racing plans on offering tuning like they do for all of the other ecoboost cars?
Also, I have 4 surplus 18" Pirelli run flats from the Bimmer (I think they are 224/45), and I want to get a steel or cheap wheel to use as a spare. Any comments/suggestions?

Welcome aboard the E.B.P.F partner, cant wait to see the pics of you new ride, and any questions you may have always feel free to ask and best of luck with the new ride,BTW Happy birthday, mine is next week, thanks for the reminder.LOL. Z

I don't think ford racing has any plans to tune the SHO. The car has been out since late 09 and nothing has happened.

I had the same problem you did.....No tri white, or deep impact blue so I took a chance on bronze fire metallic which I absolutely love now.

Did you get any incentives even though you ordered it?

Congrats on your new toy!

I got the x plan pricing (Experimental Aviation Association) along with the other Ford incentives.

Wish Ford Racing would offer a tune- something about the warranty would be nice, but from what I've read here, Livernois is pretty solid.

As far as tuning goes, it WOULD be nice if FR offerred a product, though I suspect this crowd demands much more than they are willing to warranty ;)

Tuner-wise, Unleashed & LME are the top contenders in the game, LET is up-and-coming (a couple of his customers are members here), and I have no idea what's going on with TuningByJames.

I would definetly consider a tune cause its the biggest bang for your buck and you will be amazed at the increased performance, personaly have the Livernois tune since day one and couldnt be happier,if you have any questions you can email or call Jaimie at jtejeda@livernoismotorsports.com and he will answer any questions you may have pertaining to tuning your car or any other matter. Yup, Unleashed or Livernois are the two choices.  I went with Unleashed because it's $200 cheaper and you can data log with Torrie.  Also easier to add meth later down the road.

I just spoke to my saleswoman at Highland Park Ford. My car has been built, and delivery is expected on or about 5/25....sigh...

I asked if I could just go pick her up at Torrance Ave.... no can do.

Great things come to those who wait!
