SHO Coming. Bye bye Bimmer

The stick from the earlier SHO's were ok, but as I have aged, my knees prefer the automatic!

I had 9 Stangs, 7 stick and 2 auto (all V8's except 1).

But 6 surgeries in the last 4 years led me to think God was telling me to get an auto.  ;)

My 4th attempt to post! Just picked up this morning- drove 90miles (commute + some extra...). WOW- definitely do not miss the Bimmer.

I have tried to attach pics, but nothing posts ( including the message).

Great car!

Sweeeet...... learn to post pics, want to see this unicorn :D  I host them on photobucket or facebook, get the URL for the image, and post it on here.  Or you can attach images when you post.

I will have had my SHO for 1 year on June 3rd and put 15k miles on her.  Love this car.

LOL at unicorn,  but so true. We don't get to see too many deep impact blues around here, so figure out those pics asap! :)

Congrats!

Wilson

X2 cant wait to see the pics of her, sometimes if the pics are to large it will not let you post it,try a smaller image like 2.4m photo size if that helps any,and congrats on the new ride. Z

Decisions, decisions...

To Tune, or wait a little.. Feels much more responsive than the Bimmer!

Plastidip the chrome and wheels... It is leased, but the stuff peels off.

WeatherTech or Husky liners?

Wax or sealant.

What a great ride!

Sweet look! Generally I read license plate lingo , yours is curious.  Canine themed or is that just random?  Posed like a question?

Striking color!  I'd wait till the first oil change to get a tune.  Get familiar with the SHO first, what "normal" is, check everything out underhood, etc.

I have the husky liners too, love them.  I waited 11 months to tune mine, just wanted to make sure everything was sound before potentially voiding the warranty.  Definitely wakes up the beast.  Tune, window tint, and LEDs is all this car needs, IMO.

Also, don't forget you have ultra summer performance tires.  They are going to suck when the white stuff starts flying.  Get a plan to have different rubber in winter.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I decided to lease- huge incentive under x-plan, so I'm going to go slow with tuning and cosmetics.
I just turned 120 miles and already she feels like a wound up spring ready to unload! I am keeping the revs under 4000 until about 800 miles.

Does any one have any other break-in advice? Also, how do you keep it under 80 on the highway?

congrats. i babied it a little then i remeber it already had a few miles on my brand new car. it sat at the dearlers for almost a year.. I wanna say 400-500 miles.. Anyways after that i just started driving it how ever i felt.  But i do believe in the semi hard break in and vary RPMs, speed, gears, ect when you can.
