SHO PLAY DVD?

I tried to search it.. salesman also said it would play while parked..
Does anyone know if the 2014 SHO will play DVD while parked?? i put in dvds and it just spits them out.

In aftermarket systems you have to have the parking brake engaged. No idea on the sho.

On the '13 I'm not sure if the CD player is also a DVD player.  BUT it will play video and podcasts.

I play movies from a USB thumb drive... it works by selecting it in AV menu.  It also works by voice command..... look in the index of your manual under "player" or search that it's about page 468...

On my 2011 it plays dvds just fine but like you said only in park

Yes the "system" thinks your asking for music..... so it plays, but can you watch it? check out the voice command manual page I posted.

I've never tried to look at the screen. but with my phone synced I can have siri do things on the internet through the phone's connection...... never tried beyond that, mostly searching

May be different for canadian version,  but I HAVE used my 2012 to view a DVD. Car in park, motor off (not sure that is requirment) and DVD plays just fine. This has worked for a while, wife's 2010 Edge did this as well.

Just tried it in my 2013 with premium stereo system (ha) and no play for me either. I read in the manual about it using the USB so I am going to give that a try. My coworker has the 2012 ECO F-150 and it played in his so bah! Can't believe that the upgraded stereo is inferior. Don't even get me started on this whole Pandora crap with the new sync upgrade for the lower option systems.

ok so just tried USB it is a no go. the only way to play video is through the input jacks. what a crock of sh!t. Oh well I guess for the kids the ipad playing through the bluetooth for sound is the only option.

Clearly there's a lot of variation.  One thing to note.  The DVD with the screens in the back of the headrests is a dealer added option.  So maybe there's something they can do if it's just a driver they need to flash in. or even find the player in a wrecked Flex or SHO.
