SHOs Gone

Traded in the SHO today. 59850 mi on the clock. Only got $14500 for it. I ended up leasing a 2016 Fusion Titanium Energi fully loaded. Drove 20mi today and didn't use a single drop of gas. It's a really nice car. I'll miss the SHO, I'll get another one day. I'd like to thank all of you for contributing to this forum, and helping me out!!

Congratz, nice Fusion.

I gave up a fast car for a gas sippping 4 banger for better MPG and it lasted a year until I traded it back in for something fast.  You'll be back :D

Congrats on the Fusion, hope it works out great!  Some lucky person will get the SHO as their next ride, hope they realize how unique it is!

Thanks! I know I'll be back. I only leased the fusion, so there may be a SHO back in my garage in about 3 years :)

That's a possibility.

The efficiency will be pretty sweet for a while. Sadly, every aspect of driving experience is lacking with about any hybrid. And straight line acceleration really is addicting and easily missed when it's abscent.

That said, I swung by Mazda's MX-5 Driving Experience today at Texas Motor Speedway. Had 8 new NDs setup on a braking course, a little slalom course and then a full blown hot lap circuit. Took the manual on the hot lap. Pretty slow in a straight line, but my God, beast of a car on a circuit. Mind numbing braking, incredible balance, very predictable. Great car. That'd be a heck of a gas sipper if you needed one, and didn't need the space. I believe they get deep into 30 MPGs. Easily the funnest most rewarding experience to be had behind a steering wheel.

Anyway, carry on.
