So,... Challenger Hellcat...

I would love a Hellcat Charger, owning the MKS has really changed my taste from coupes to powerful sedans. I believe my next vehicle is going to be either a Audi S6 or A7, though I'm also fond of the GTR as I can technically drive it in the winter.
 
I would think that a used, fully built car will be the most unreliable car you've ever owned.  Have 10K on hand to build the motor again, when it blows up.
 
...Similar to salesmen wrecking a new Viper in the last town where I lived... totaled it 30 min after it rolled off the transport!

When you take of in a stupidly overpowered car caution at first would seem the way to go.  Can't fix stupid!
 
Seems like these high-powered cars should come with some training for the buyers before they are allowed to take delivery.  Or maybe a staged step-up to full power over a period of days, a probationary period if you will.
 
These cars deserve the same respect as a high powered firearm and IMHO probably too much for most drivers on the road especially due to the lack of AWD.

Of course it's like firearm training... knowing all about the weapon (or car) is no more important than knowing when and how to use it's potential.
 
5000+ pounds and 700+ HP sounds very dangerous. The one I spotted the other day almost hit 2 cars in the 30 seconds we saw it. It almost rear ended a stopped car only avoiding it by cutting off another to switch lanes and slid to a stop nearly rear ending another stopped car. This was at the crest of an overly busy overpass.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing about sub 5K pounds that is sporty. My 72 LWB C10 weighs less than 4500!
 
also had racing slicks not those bum rs-a  goodyears from the factory. the guy who lit them up was on reg tires.
