Speed comparison test on v7 and v8 LMS tune...

Could be a sticking blowoff valve or excessive oil blowby in the system (throttle body/leaky turbo etc).  Changed the oil recently?  What filter are you running?

Dose LMS V8(91,93) tune D mode hold lower gear just like factory S mode?
(factory S mode give me more fun  but also more engine noise(3000 rpm)  and not good for crusing
when crusing with D mode engine rpm is within 1500~2000rpm  that is very comfortable for me)

what is rpm range of LMS V8 tune when crusing with D mode(under 70mile)
is it significantly higer than factory D mode?(just like factory S mode )( if it is true it is not suitable for daily driving for me..)

Here's what I know... hopefully LMS rep will chime in.

"D" will allow the car to shift to 6th gear , "S" prevents the upshift to 6th gear.... v8 does not affect this.... staying in 5th gear, or any gear up to redline increases noise.  The engine speed at 70mph con be read from your tachometer in any gear/mode chosen.  Redline (about 6200 rpm)is not exceeded by the tune programming. I think this is the answer to all the questions posed.

This is correct, we don't change that portion of the calibration, so D will function like normal, and S will hold a lower gear and be more responsive in downshifting. So, in short, D mode will still bring the RPM lower at cruising speed than S mode.

you can still shift up to 6th in "S" mode with the paddle shifter for cruising. The first time you get it to downshift to a lwoer gear it'll go back to not shifting up past 5th unless again you shift up with the paddle.
