Spring 2014 updates

So the last most of you saw of my car, she looked like this:

Now, I didn't take many pictures post-repair, but the body shop I used awesome work and made my baby pretty again, so kudos to Bodywerks of Streamwood for their excellent handicraft.

Now, originally when the 3D Carbon body kit was installed, the rear valence was painted to match the remainder of the body, like so:

I was OK with it, some people commented on it disparagingly, but since the car was in the body shop regardless I decided to have them repaint the diffuser black and touch up the body kit. Here's the rear of the car with after paint.

Finally today I had Michelin Pilot Super Sports installed on the new wheels I purchased, the lighting today is poor and the car is dirty but I'm still pretty pleased with me results, tell me what you think!

although i must admit, i liked it better when you had the rear diffuser painted the same color as the body kit, and with the original wheels.

the new wheels look smaller to me, probably because they are not as concave as the 11 spoke MKS wheel and don't have as much surface area.

the main reason i didn't go for the MKS with appearance package, even though i liked the body colored lower fascias much better, is because the 10 spoke wheel that comes with it doesn't look as good as the 11 spoke one IMO.  Concavity really makes a wheel look better to my eyes for some reason.

your car is still very nice nonetheless!

Looks sharp. I think the wheels are classy but yet still sporty. Very fitting for a fast Lincoln.

Each car varies with what makes it " look " good . I think with the color you have the black contrast on the  cladding makes it stand out but I would have gone a different route on the wheels , to me they are OK but they just dont POP .

Small world, BPD1151 and I are in IL as well.

I like the painted diffuser, but not feeling the wheels. Sharp car overall.

Thanks for the comments and compliments everyone. The wheels were a really tough choice for me, there's a lot of good choices for the SHO but none of those really struck me for the MKS. I do like a nice, clean five spoke wheel, and I liked that these were an OEM part that I had never seen on a car. I do feel like they look better in person than in the picture, it's a cell camera, the light is crummy and the car is dirty, but that's just me.
