stage 3 snow performance not reading boost

hey guys looks like snow sent me the wrong controller. this one reads pulse width and boost instead of frp and boost like my last one. obviously couldn't tell till i had it installed and turned it on...

anyhow that's not my only problem i figured since ill be running it off of boost only maybe all wasn't lost but its not reading boost.. straight 0000's 24/7 any advice?

Either switch to Alky or get tuned with AJP, he seems to be getting great results.  SNOW = S*** right now.

I completely agree with you guys but at this point I have so much money dumped into this stupid decision that I'd like to see it work. And plus I'm kinda strapped for cash so buying a whole new kit won't be happening.

So does anyone know why my controller wouldn't be reading boost and if This controller will work with my car at all. The difference Between the controllers is that the new one has two blue wires coming out of it where as my original had only 1.

Looks like they sent you model 60061 (http://www.snowperformance.net/Stage-3-Water-Methanol-Injection-Controller-p/60061.htm), but you need model 60300 (http://www.snowperformance.net/Stage-3-Water-Methanol-Injection-Controller-p/60300.htm).

Can you connect the boost line to an air compressor, see if it registers any pressure?

Just did the compressor test and it worked. The controller reads boost when I supply it.. Maybe the boost Tube is disconnected or something

Turns out the vacuum hose was just pinched in the engine bay. Took a while to find but now things actually seem to be working. Putting my w/m tune back on as I'm writing this

Yeah luckily I found it. Don't really know how it would have gotten pinched but oh well. I pray this is my last hurdle with snow performance. I mean technically I'm running the wrong controller but I think it will do what I need it to. Plus if I had to call them again and listen to them tell me some bs story about how my warranty is voided because I looked at it wrong or because I wore white after Labor Day or whatever they would come up with..... I'd end up in jail for whatever I decided to do  so I think I'll stick with this controller.

LOL.  Glad you are finally getting things worked out, Scoles.  Brainerd is running street legal on the 31st and again on September 7th.  Any plans on going up there?

Not sure yet, it does seem to be working better than ever so hopefully I'll be able to put down some decent times

Am I invited, too?  J/K, Brainerd on Wednesdays doesn't work too well for me (job & family responsibilities).  But I do want to get my car on the track.  Would you guys be interested in heading over to Rock Falls on a Saturday?

I want to get over to Rock Falls before the season ends for sure.  I usually run a little quicker there than at Brainerd.

I've been reading your saga(s) and while I am sure it's been rough for you I do want to thank you. There was about a months worth of time where I considered going w/m. It'd not completely off the list but it's been pushed way far off and won't be snow.

I'd be down to check out rockfalls so long as I'm free that weekend. Brainerd on Wednesday can be kind of a pain I usually end up taking a half day at work haha. I'll be going to brainerd in September for proving grounds but I'm not sure if ill run my car. Usually you have to wait in line way too long to make it worth it and it's in the middle of the day so not really the best conditions.

Yeah I've really been focusing on documenting my struggle with snow on this forum every step of the way hoping that someone would eventually benefit from it. I'm glad it helped you. For what it's worth when the w/m works it definitely adds some power but maybe stick to a different brand!
