Luckily the weather held out and I was able to make it to the last street legals of the season last night. Last time I made it to the track the car was stock with a little over 100k on it. I managed to get a 9.10 with no spare or jack. The track is just over 3400 ft in elevation and it was in the mid 70's out. Last night it was 52 out and the track was kinda cold at the start. I managed to run a 8.52 with no spare and jack again. I am more than happy with the difference that a tune and down pipes made, but I'm wondering if I could make that time a little better with some lighter wheels and tires. The stock steelies and Fire Hawk PVS tires aren't light. Anyone running an aftermarket set see any significant improvements? Thanks. I forgot to mention it is an 1/8 mile track.
