Sound is still there after getting the exhaust fixed. I did some more research and on the EB F150 forums it seems to be more common. Could be linked to VTA.
The SHO has a history of making some weird and odd noises when the bov are vta, from duck to geese sounds, you could always put the front bov back to stock since its the easiest one to reinstall just to hear if the howl noise is somewhat less pronounced at 40mph,best of luck and keep us updated. Z
I would also try to rule out if there is any noise present by the brake booster(check valve)could have a leak contributing to the noise your experiencing, while the car is running try to listen for any hissing sound by the firewall area, the hose highlighted below could have a leak. Z
Take it to a garage with lift, have them fire it up and put in D, give it a gas, and you should be able to follow the noise from under the car. my guess is on a bearing, whether wheel, PTU/differential, or....
I get a drive train howl similar to gear whine when I first drive my car out of my neighborhood in the morning. Its very faint. I'm guessing its part of the awd system.

I just changed them 10ish k ago. Seems to be between 2k and 1k rpm. I get a kind of piuu sound if it up shifts in that range. I don't hear it anywhere else.
Hey Guys,
So after driving the car more, I have howling at 1.5k and 3k. At 3k it's definitely more instrument/tuning fork like. It sounds like it's coming from up front, the stock DPs. Weird that no one else has this with a straight through exhaust.
Exactly what I did last night. No signs of any leakage. Weird, I'll just have to live with it. I got the whole section redone where the 3rd cat sits and we made sure all the pipes were de burred etc. It sounds like its coming from further up.
