Thinking about selling my SHO

So this whole ordeal with my new Impact blue 2013 SHO PP has been a PITA With the check engine light, the oil leaks, the missing door plate. I am actually considering selling the car now even though everything has been fixed now. I know I'm going to lose my ass but I was curious what you guys think I could realistically sell the car for private party? It has every option except Navigation, and the Massaging seats the car now has 1800 miles on it. I have been browsing the for sale ads to see what they sell for but none of the cars I have seen have such low miles. TIA

First of all what you have going your way is that the extra low mileage and that rare color blue that you seldom see around compared the the black, realistically a fair price selling it privatly would be 31,500 if you are not in a hurry, but you also have to take into consideration 2015 is around the corner, all the best and good luck, and that price should be FIRM,just my 2cent.

minus the repairs.... if she ain't broke.... don't fix it. I've got a 2011 non-PP and I wouldn't trade her for the world!!!!!

To me it sounds like he really had it with the headaches and fustration in regards to reliability, and then in back of your mind your saying what could be next,so honestly i feel for him in a way that the car let him down, some people are more sensitive than others in regards to purchasing a new vehicle with the mindset of a troublefree car not knowing there is potential for recalls,TSB;S and whatever else is in store, air bag deployment, just my 2cent

Plus I know that he previously came from a Jeep SRT like I did when I bought my SHO. After having built V8 vehicles, the SHO just never filled the void for me. Great car in some respects, but if you are into big power and having a bunch of mod options, this is not the car for you.

This is true man I miss my Vortech blown Jeep SRT8's I have had two actually.  Then ran consistent 11.60's in the 1/4 and 7.26 in the 1/8 on a fully stock drivetrain just the vortech kit exhaust and a tune. All though a very sweet car the SHO is quite limited when it comes to the after market world.

Your comparing a Jeep srt8 with a SHO,at that price range would buy me two SHO;S one as a DD and one as a weekend car, spending that amount of money and at the end of the day its still only a Jeep.

Actually right now you can find a lot of one owner, low mileage and fully built Jeeps. I am talking about fully built, well documented, turbocharged/supercharged/big block Jeeps that will run 10's at the track and still bring the kids to daycare. The Ecoboost platform has just flatlined for performance mods. When is the last time there was anything new being developed for go fast parts?

First of all welcome back and hope everything is well,my last statement was only in regards to pricing, your absolutly correct that there is a limited aftermarket upgrades but for under 40k with a tune,DP'S,exhaust, meth, high 11's can be achieved, and thats not bad for a car in that price range, what are you driving now?

I bought a crew cab 2012 Ram Express. As a fast car replacement for the SHO I am going to get a 2012 300 SRT-8 this spring once the snow melts. Big V-8 power and sound, huge styling presence and will run high elevens at the track with minor bolt ons and drag radials.

I think it would be tough getting top dollar for a barely used car to a private party. My first question when looking at such a car would be, why don't they like it, what's wrong with it if they're selling so soon.

The SHO is perfect for people that are done wasting $$$ on modding cars and want a reliable car with just a tune and exhaust to run mid 12's.  Has AWD to make it the perfect full season family sedan that will smoke most cars at a stop light, unless they too are AWD.

Nothing else with AWD can run mid 12's for so cheap and have a mafia certified trunk.    Too bad Dodge removed AWD from the Charger R/T, that was the only thing left.

My 2013 spent more time at the dealer than I actually got to drive it. And you don't just throw  a tune and exhaust on and run mid 12's. Plenty other vehicles for the money that can reach the same goals. You just hit a brick wall with these cars and the morning fun is over.

Main reason why i got this car. It'll run 12's with a few upgrades, it's comfy as all hell and 100% practical for me.... minus towing capabilities haha. And it prevents me from spending more than i need to.

Firstly, I think it's very unusual that anybody would cross shop the SHO with an SRT Jeep. Though, there appear to be several here. I've admired the Jeeps, but I'd never own one.

Secondly, the platform is at a dead end, because there aren't enough owners out there to take the time and money to push the boundaries or to garner support. Even so, the SHO is both easy and cheap to get into the 12s. I continue to fail to understand how that isn't quick enough for a DD. If you want a drag car, buy one or build one and drive a 12 second SHO to work every day and be comfortable.
