Thinking of switch from a SHO to a F150

Love the SHO but really miss a truck.  Anyone have both and care to comment?  I have test driven a stock F150 ecoboost before and wasn't impressed.  Compared the SHO, which by the way is stock, all the things you would think: sluggish, heavy, doesn't corner well, etc.  In my mind however I think if I get a truck, bolt on a few aftermarket parts and tune it, it will transform it into something more fun to drive.  Thoughts?  Probably trying to compare apples and oranges really.  Just miss the practicality of the truck.

Buy a $10K beater truck that you can actually use and abuse.  Keep the SHO!

I like the sitting position of a truck and how big inside is, but I won't trade it in for a nice handling sedan.  The SHO's large trunk is much more useful to me.  I keep my golf clubs in there 6 months out of the year so I can play whenever I have time.  Hated having them inside my wagons, always would hear them banging around.

That's my pitch on you keeping the SHO :)

BTW, wait for the '15 F-150 if you make the switch.  The addition of push button start and heated steering wheel are well worth it, not alone the 700lbs+ of weight savings.

I have a 13 fx4 eco. Tuned it is quite fun to launch in 4x4. But it is still a truck. It's straight lines only. You don't buy a truck to play in the corners. Trucks come down to purpose built hauling and towing with comfort and amenity added on.

Since tuning the truck I have returned it to stock because it was making a sound that made me think it was about to have an expensive part fail. Sounded like something in the intake was altering the flow path somehow. Made a sound like if you would hit recirculation on the hvac control. Only much louder and from the intake.
