Thinking of trading into a 2014...

So I'm thinking of trading my 2011 with 72k on it for a 2014 with around 20k miles. There are plenty of Them available for around $30,000.

The main reason I want to is because my head rubs the moon roof (yep I'm a large man) and the one I would get is sans moon...

Plus being 3 years newer with 55,000 less miles is attractive.

What would you guys list mine for sale at $$$ wise?

Kona blue 402A, PP, multi contour seats and nav.  First dealer I went to wanted to give me around $15k. I wasn't feeling the love. I am not afraid to sell the car in my own either, but I'd rather trade it in.

Thoughts?

2014 sho? Don't even bother, save your money and do upgrades like turbos if and when they go. Or some other mods.

Take your SHO to a CarMax?  I'd hope they give you at least $18K.  I'd want $20K minimum, but might be a dream.

2011 to a 2014 would be a good upgrade.  LED tails, new grille, remote start, MyFordTouch, heated steering wheel, power steering wheel,  new gauge cluster, new steering wheel, etc etc.  If you get another PP, 2013+ PP gets more goodies.

I have heard good things about CarMax.  Closest one that is open is a few hundred miles away.  One is being built currently about 20 miles from my house.

I was offered 17K at a local dealer that had a 14 XSport that I was thinking about...  If someone gave me 19K Id sell it tomorrow and figure out what I want as a DD from there.

Is it paid for?

Close.  I have a Low interest rate, and I like cash on hand (Self Employed) or I would pay it off.  I owe around $9500 at 2.99%

The main reason that I am thinking about this is because my head touches the roof of the car.  The new one would NOT have a moon roof and it would be MUCH more comfortable.  Plus mine currently doesn't have ACC, heated steering wheel, etc that this one has.  Plus this one would have much lower miles.

I really should have asked what you guys would think I should get on trade for it.  17K seems fair enough for a trade value.  A little lower than I  would want though.

I'm ok with that or around that on trade if it was the exact vehicle I wanted. Not sold on the xsports cause They lacks some features I like.

The sports don't have auto high beam, rain sensing wipers, etc that the show can have.

Decisions... I'm leaning toward the 14 sho or just staying put with mine for 6 months or so...

Yeah, no heated steering wheel, contour seat, rain sense wipers, HIDS, etc on the XSport is BS.  I think the '16 refresh should address these issues.

Options wise, only the Charger R/T AWD/300C AWD and SHO win in my books.  If you get a non-PP 2014 SHO, you can get just about everything luxury/safety feature available on the market.    Only options missing are power folding mirrors, heated/cooled cupholders, and front parking sensors/camera.

Agreed on all counts. Which leads to my paralysis by analysis...

Thanks for the input!
