Throttle Body Spacer

Is anyone currently running a TBS on their SHO? If so what are the
gains or losses. Ive done some reading some state gains were intial torque and fuel economy. The negatives I read were its a scam, does nothing, computer controlled vehicles may loose performance.

on my previous G35x I put an intake plenum spacer on which was a common mod. I basically made the entire upper plenum taller. It definately made a difference in power, and the idea behind it was that it added more volume of air behind the throttle body inside the intake creating more power and feeding the front two cylinders more. I wonder if adding any more volume of air inside the intake behind the SHO throttle body with a spacer would do anything ?! OK it's probaby not enoug difference to make much difference, but I wonder if any at all ?

what are they supposed to do according to the manufacturer ?

The one I had briefly on my Fusion had a rifled barrel.  Supposedly, it smoothed out the flow.  I had to take it out to fit the Typhoon in.

I've asked full race if they could make one to install my boost gauge with.  Like the one for the F150 that SW tried.

Great idea.  Is that the best spot to get a vac/boost read?  (I heard you could "T" any vac line.) If so, I would take one.  Just one port on the side, please!  I think it would look cool!

Well you're right... you can.

But manufacturers recs for most of the gauges recommend a dedicated line.

That said, it would seem that boost would be best measured at the throttle-body between the TIP sensor and the MAP sensor, that is at the intercooler pipe to TB junction... Plus it would provide a "plug and play" install situation and have no drilling of high pressure intake parts in order to tap the boost pressure for the sensor or for securing screws. This drilling would seem to be a leak waiting to happen, especially if the plastic OEM pipes are used.  So this installation just seemed to me to be less prone to leaks.

Don't order the Full-Race one it won't work on the transverse.

Thanks I know... both size and holes are wrong talked with Jeremy last week ... Why I inquired about them making one for the SHO.

I have an extra throttle body and a friend who owns a machine shop, I could get some made up. The only real use would be a vacuum port and for meth but with hot pipes you have a place for meth install, just need a post TB vacuum source.
I'll check it out and see what he says we can make them for.

Yup. , I found out from personal experience that  the one Full Race currently makes don't work .....
BigMac .... If you can get them to make it ..... we will come , I still want one .

If they'll do it i"ll make sure they do two!

Full race is right next to Black Market Racing... so they can use my car for CAD and fitment

I don't know if the hot pipes will still fit or not after the TB spacer. We'll have to see. :)

Looks like BigMac gets to be the Guinea Pig again .... LOL
I think there's enough wiggle room in there for it to fit .
Two ports on it would be great , I'd use one for boost Guage and the other would be reserved for the exhaust cutout .
