Took XSport on the beach today...

I've been researching the Expedition quite a bit, wouldn't mind putting the wife in one.  In the past month they started putting in limited slip rear differentials.  So don't get an early 3.73 axle.

Also, 2016 order banks are open.  Here are changes:  http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/58796-2015-expedition-order-guide/

Mainly Sync3 , one touch power 3rd row seats and couple colors.

Still pissed no HIDs and LED tails, and only one-touch power windows on the driver side.  Also should have a heated steering wheel.  We are leaning towards a Yukon Denali or Burb/Tahoe Z71.  Love the turbos  but GM is clearly the winner in this segment.

Glad to hear they finally decided to put a limited slip in these. My mom got the navigator after her last Yukon xl was so bad. Piss poor build quality from GM suvs from 07-13. The new ones look alot better now though and I would consider one of them if that was my kind of car. You won't be impressed by the new chevy 5.3 but you also probably won't be disappointed. The 6.2 wasn't much of an improvement over the 5.3 in the past.

Yeah, new Navigator is nice but still way behind the redesigned Denali.  But the Navi is $5K cheaper.  When the 2017 Expy/Navi are completely redone with aluminum, it should be in a better position to compete.

When I say behind, I mean:
1. No power fold middle seats
2. No heated steering wheel
3. No 8 speed transmission
4. No adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance
5. No one touch power windows for rear
6. This one gets me... no trailer brake control

My mom has the 2012 Navigator. When I was at the dealer I didn't honestly see much difference in the new one though. When she bought it the Denali was alot cheaper but complete garbage. I'm interested to see what's with the new ones. At the auto show they were a million miles ahead of the old ones. Also I don't think there is much advantage to the smaller version of any of the large suvs.
