Transmission not in park

So I've had this error a few times now even when the truck is in park. Take it in to ford and they say their is a TSB to fix this. After 3 1/2 hours they say it didn't work so they need to replace the entire assembly. So when they get finished they had put in the wrong gear selector/shifter stick. I asked about it and said if its functional then no big deal, well it isn't, so now tomorrow another appointment while they put the right part in. I'm skeptical about it now on whether they just put my old one back in, how the f do they mess this up?

Hahah how the f do you mess up something like that is right!! I would be worried for them to work on it again honestly if they cant put the right part on.
Wheres this dealer so i can avoid them.

Fairly common issue on the newer Edge.  Have to replace the shifter assembly as a final fix.

Gotta echo the other guys on one thing... I'd avoid this dealer shop... next thing will be replacing your wheel with the wrong size and telling you if it rolls it's OK...

What sucks is all the dealerships around here are con artists, I called around for a quote on a fox light and there was a $80 discrepancy in install prices. The dealer I usually go to for service was booked until next week but the warden scheduled a photo-shoot for the truck this week so I wanted to get the fog light replaced. I buy from this dealer nut get service at another dealer, I knew better than to bring it here. What a joke, its pretty hard for me to not rip into these clown's, but my dr says going postal is not an option
