Unleashed Tune question, also Meth question.

I currently have the 93 only tune from Livernois, and a SCT tuner for about 3 years now. Livernois doesnt support the SCT anymore, or at least 93tune was the best they would do on a SCT. I see Torrie does 3bar maps, and meth on the SCT so im thinking about switching over to him. So I have some questions. I also plan on emailing Torrie just to make sure my SCT is compatible, but assuming my SCT tuner will work, I still have these questions:

Would I see much if any HP gain, going from current tune, over to a Torrie 3bar map tune? Or is the 3bar map just smoother, and broader powerband?

Also looking at doing his Meth kit he sells. I see stage 1 and stage 2, looks like Stage 2 comes with a better controller, is stage 2 needed, OR is there a better tune for the Stage 2 kit? Or will a Stage 1 with his tune still max everything out?

Thanks.

Do not buy a tuner or select a tuning company based on power goals....one device or the other does not give more power alone...all the device does is act as a communication medium...the act software that torrie uses is very in depth and sophisticated.....u will not be dissatisfied with torrie..

Making power is easy...the challenge to tuning is making power with oem levels of reliability and drivability and torrie can do that

If u have an x3 or x4 device u should be good but torrie can tell u

If you want, Kolk, I will move this thread over to the Unleashed board.  Then Torrie will respond directly.  Just let me know.  He is most quickly approachable by EMail, so I would pose the questions directly to him that way, as an option.  Though I wouldn't mind knowing the answer myself :)

my point was, I don't want to spend $600 on a MyCal, if Torrie can do a 3bar or meth tune on a SCT that I already own. I was more questioning will I notice a difference going with a 3bar map and a new tune, and weither or not I need the stage 1 or stage 2 meth kit if I decide to add that to the mix at the same time.

I can email him directly, was wondering if anybody else had this setup, or was stage 4 then changed to 3 bar, then added meth. And was the overall gains worth it.

How does the car feel? Are you planning to run another revision?
Actually, its amazing. And yes, there will be revisions.

I'm testing the ACES fuel catalyst and I have some parts to be added.

I think the car feels much more responsive than the 13, especially the shifting. MrsFoMoCoSHO agreed.

Completely missed that Torrie has a Ecoboost specific meth kit thats like $850, I think ill just do his tunes, 3bar map, thermostat, and might as well do new plugs again.

My PTU fluid, Nitto tires, and all new brakes will be here tomorrow. This car hasnt really been touched in a long time besides oil changes. Ive been building a C6 corvette, and just sold it, to buy a C6 Z06 this winter, so until then, im showing my love back to the SHO, and cleaning it up a little.

My PTU fluid has never been changed, and im now at 84k miles. I think ill change it, wait a month and change it a 2nd time, just to try and make sure I get out as much of the old stuff as possible.
