Looks like just a tube and filter that replace the OEM box.

If you want something that looks pretty, sounds good, and kills performance, I have a K&N Typhoon I would sell for far less than that.

I was just curious regarding the one with the ram air kit and how they configured the air setup, basically just wanted to get some ideas and thoughts. :)

The K&N also has a "ram (hot) air" design....

I hope i didn't come off snarky, that wasn't my intention.

This is a sore point for me and many others who have drank the CAI snake oil.

That piece will degrade performance and if you're OK with that there are a bunch of guys who would probably sell their Typhoons for cheap.

Lets just eliminate the thread,it was only a suggestion and wanted some basic feed back if anyone tried it,thank you.

Intakes are a sore subject on this platform. None of them make any more power the way they came from the  factory. So essentially your paying for an increase in noise, and decrease in power. Even the manufacturers that the forum has found a way to make them increase performance acted like they could careless.

We can only hope someday someone will actually market  a true CAI that is WORTH considering and will actually increase HP and lower intake air temps .....

until then at least some folks still post new products ... thanks zsho!

Sore point ... there should be NO sore point.  Some things work, some things don't.  It's OK to bring up new products for discussion, keep your discussion grounded.  That's what this community has done and will continue to do!

Thinking of Brian (bamsho)?  He ran a hose down to the lower driver front grille, capped with a mesh for safety.  Have to look to see if he posted times though.

He said he felt like it pulled better at the top end I think, or the numbers said that. Slight improvement with 1/4 times with same low end #'s if I recall correctly.

This post should be of some assistance.

On another note; it seems to me that since sooooo much has been developed and improved upon for the SHO over the last 4 years or so, you'd think there would be a definitive CAI option or two. But the debate rages on. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the engineers at Ford did a pretty good job with the factory intake.

Of course air raid with thicker weather stripping seems to be the answer.
