What would you like to see in a new CAI?

Please do, as we all love some pics!!!
Love pics of PIDs (Product In Development) even more!  As BBOX mentioned, we'd be glad to give an assist to bringing this product to market :)

Thanks guys for all the support! If I can get the car again on Sunday I will give pictures of my step by step progress with everything from sensor locations/fittings I have in place to location and angle of bov recirculation. And the dreaded rear turbo placement issues, so far I think I have a solution it will just be a lot more intense fabrication wise but I will show you guys my two options I have and see which one you guys would prefer.

Thanks,

That is some intense Sic performance Engineering you have there, back to the subject regarding CAI,I think its all about the filter cause my 2004 3.5 liter v6 had a magnaflow street mufflers and a Fujita CAI,the intake literally could be heard inside the cabin when punching it,what also contributed to the excessive noise levels was the ram air was mounted by the wheel well and with that combination of a CAI with a ram air can be heard inside and out to the extreme.

Yes the filter is a variable I look at but a lot of that noise you hear is the cai's ability to quickly and efficiently move air the turbos. This is the most important thing I am focusing on my prototype, intake air temps being second but also keeping in mind that the air coming into the intakes next step is to be super heated and compressed to 900+ degrees. So intercooler/piping with be the most efficient way to decrease iat.

I have a lot of faith in what I have have done for the neon srt4 market with a lot of positive results, I am hoping to bring this to the ecoboost community as well.

Rock on! Rock on!

Hey guys, small update my buddy with the mks was out of town this weekend and was unable to lend me the car. But I am knocking out 2 projects today at theshop which will free up next Sunday completely, so I can have a whole day to focuon the intake instead of bouncing between cars.

Again thanks for everyone's patience,

Hey guys unfortunately I will not have the car again this weekend owner will be out of town again. And as for pictures do you guys want pictures of what I'm working on or just pictures of the mks intake?

The intake is of primary interest, of course, but sure, post pics of the stuff you are working on :)  If you can give us a little background to go with the pics, even better!

What part of town are you in? I'd be willing to let you use my SHO if need be.

I tried waiting for this to come out but ended up going with an Airaid due to the delays. If I can be of assistance in getting this finished, I'd be more than willing. I'd love to see what this thing can do.

The reason that i went with the Airaid is because LMS,4DRHTRD and other reputable companies associated with tuners sponsor Airaid for proven results,Sic performance at least kept his word and updated us on his project, but please just a pic please,a glimpse of whats to be expected,a drawing, portfolio, etch&sketch please thank you.

I agree with wanting to see pics.... And dyno/times

Otherwise they are primarily eye and ear candy as they are sold, and may even degrade performance as they have for many, including 4DR, in stock form.

Hey guys, I just finished one big project and have one more to go a sidewinder turbo kit for srt4. These are taking a lot of my time from the intake, I can draw up a blueprint for the intake and post a pic. I'm sorry you couldn't wait but I completely understand, and as for dyno results guys keep in mind that main focus for intake is to help the turbos breath and best results will come from a full 2.5" clean bent system from intake through innercooler and charge pipes. Restrictions in diameter and unnecessary bends will dramatically hurt the flow.

Also my shop is located in Texas city

The car this is going on is making 600+ and you cant run stock turbo with this manifold since the stock srt4 hot side housing is built into the manifold. But even with it being a sidewinder I expect good spool times since the manifold runners are equal length and merge with firing order. Plus it will be plummed into the innercooler directly instead of going under the car like the stock set up.
