Which catback do I get? Corsa vs. magnaflow vs stainless works vs borla

I am possibly doing a cat back in the next few weeks and want input on sound quality. Id like to avoid too much rasp and drone. It will get DPs eventually (more than likely catted) and i dont want the car to be TOO loud (thats what i drive the camaro for)

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I put the Corsa on mine.  Love it.  But it's expensive.  Probably would have went with a cheaper solution looking back, oh well.
 
Ive been poking through this thread, its kinda of hard to tell how loud and such based on camera quality and stuff.
I kinda like the idea of being quieter. Seems like magnaflow is pretty quiet?
 
Just make sure it doesn't drone.  Drone sucks.  If I have my back seat down, the drone is annoying between 2K-3K RPM with the Corsa.
  No drone when seat is up, can get a little loud though.

Thats my concern really, the magnaflow may be the best option for being quiet.
 
I still have 3rd cat and third muffler under the car but here's a video I did today. Not the best but gives ya an idea for sound.

The Magnaflow system is nice.  Not too loud but noticeable, zero drone even with the PPE downpipes.  I like it cause now I can actually hear the turbos spool up a bit but it doesn't sound ricey.

that was my concern with my CTS-V when i had it, i did NOT want it loud

so is this with the third cat and resonator removed and an x pipe in its place? How is drone at cruise? It sounds really good.
 
I'd recommend picking by other than vids... As pointed out,they are hard to make. They are also highly dependent on surroundings, ambient noise, microphone function and proximity/ location, whether the car is in open or closed loop, Internet compression, and speaker quality of the playback device.

Try to to hear them for real yourself, avoid drone, watch all the combinations and custom tweaks, and as pointed out a v6 will never sound like an 8.

I'm pretty sure i'm in love with MRT exhaust because of your Flex....
 
Hey Pepp, If I would have know, I was in Cincinnati last wendsday and Thursday to buy a set of wheels and tires from another member on the flex forum.  I coulda let you hear it first hand..  Oops.  I think MRT just needs to step up and start making some axle backs for the SHO.  Hopefully they will. 
There were some other videos of it as well.  Not sure what posts they are on as of right now though.

My heart still breaks a little every time I hear this combo.... what If I would have not sold Sabtaj my downpipes LOL!!!!

Still sounds good brotha.
 
For what its worth i ended up with the magnaflow

and if i could choose again, I would make the same choice 10 times.

I LOVE the exhaust :) :) very happy with it
