Whining Noise in Drivetrain PTU

Have had a whine for about two years now. I think it is getting worse after the output flange got replaced and now added power is probably pushing it further. Proactively searching for PTU pricing and such there are 2 versions of the PTU based on build date. Anyone have a clue what the difference is?

I believe Ford Part No DG1Z-7251-D is for the Performance package while compared to the other part number is for the
Less Version Packages.  Z

Yea that's what I thought as well. Even though it's making some noise, it's still fairly healthy. Definitely going to live with it as long as possible.
