Starting to get deep into research for the best winter tire/18" rim combo for the SHO. Post up some pictures of what your are running and a small review on the tires you have would be much appreciated

I'm doing the same thing right now. There are not a lot of choices for the size. I was looking at going to a 235/55/18 or 245/55/18. I'm also trying to figure out if I want a performance winter tire or full blown winter tire.
it looks like I might be going back to running 20" winter rims as anything smaller looks out of place on the SHO. Is anyone out there running 20" winter/snow tires or just running an aggressive all season tire for the winter months?
I ran 20" Kumho Ecsta 4x all seasons last winter and had no troubles. Obviously ice traction wasn't great but I never had trouble in snow. I got caught a few times going snowboarding in the mountains in ~6" and I did just fine.
It looks like I am going to go down the road of committing to run all season tires. The big turn off for snow tires boils down to the high price for 20" tires and the lack of any wear warranty. I just can not see spending $1,300 on tires without a warranty. The leading choice right now for the reviewed snow performance is the General G-Max AS-03 in 245/45R20.
I have run Blizzak 235/55R18 for the last two years and the results have been great. They are a bit "squisshy" however when the snow/ice flies they are ROCK solid with the AWD. Nothing the Iowa winter has thrown at me has stopped me short of the 4' drift in my drive . If I don't bottom out I can get thru it whith the Blizzak's. I BELIEVE I am running the DM-V1's...but will check tonight to make sure. I run them on 18" rims and swap them out when the bad weather hits....
I use and have used 18" 2010 mustang GT rims with 225/50/18 blizzaks for the past three years and have had great luck. They had real world tests last year with the blizzard and a early spring Noreaster snowstorm with snow up to the lower doors in spots during which I drove through Central Mass up through Vermont with no issues whatsoever. It was funny to see people laughing and pointing as I swooshed on by.
