World record before XV1?

So... Finally...
Barometric pressure offsetted all other good factors, so DA was finally around -50.
Tailwind of about 15-20mph, weather around 50-52.
Got there at 10 for the opening... They opened only at 11am. DA went from -239 to -59... hmmm
Then, they put a lot of glue, went for a run and had my worst 60ft since I own this car with a 1.82 (instead of 1.73-1.75), still managed a 12.24.
I waited 30 minutes and went back, ran 12.20 and 12.24. I noticed that with glue, 60 ft are good, but gear shift from 1-2 suffers from too much traction and instead of chirping, it kinda slow down during the shift...
I needed to leave at 12h30 because my wife had classes to attend to.
So I went back at 12h15 and 12h25 and managed 12.16 and 12.14!... Then I needed to go : (
With all same factors, but barometric pressure more favorable, DA could have been -1500 and I would have been really close to 11's!
Well, still had a good time.
I only got one run in video against a 2010 Charger SRT8 with exhaust and intake (no other mod) and he ran 13.40.
I later ran a Jeep SRT8 with exhaust and he ran a 13.04... I filmed 22 seconds of us in the lineup and the battery died... : (
Anyways, it was a good time and maybe I'll be able to go one more time before season ends here.
Then I'll get XV1 sometime between now and 2015 (lol) and will surely be in the 11's.

BTW 4DR, I know your Flex is more powerful and will be faster. I have one advantage that I need to appreciate: a fast track and cool weather... That is worth some hp too.

Cheers!

Maybe another time!

Too bad you didn't get it Steve.  I know how it feels.  I'm just that close to a 12.  The time will come!  Hopefully sooner than later.

What is everyone doing for weight reduction?
I haven't done anything yet, last time at the track 5030lbs with the back right seat out. We only had it out in case we needed to get to the fuel pump quickly and diagnose any issues.

Steve sorry to hear you didn't hit the 11's (not really... :P )

I think we need an exorcism of some sort to get into the 11's.  Maybe throw a fit before a trial run???

Hey guys!!! I went to the strip last night and broke into the 11's with my Flex.....

Then I woke up...LOL

If I was at Steve's strip with my G8... I would have been in the 11's by now for sure.  Turned a 12.07 when DA was 600+!

Goodness, I wish we had those kinds of DA down here, this weekend was close to perfect and the DA was still 1400.  Usually we're at least in the 2000's.  I ran a best of 8.35 yesterday and made it to semi finals.  I was killing the tree, I had a 0.001, 0.009, 0.055 and a 0.037.

Wow! Amazing RT... I mostly do Test n tune, so I shallow stage, making it harder for RT, but I am not too bad between 0.021 and 0.179. I average 0.10 normally.
Low DA is one of the only advantage. That means cold weather and that means that my pool is already closed (actually I can open my pool in June and have to close it in September!). I need to shuffle snow 4 months per year. Etc.
Oh! one other advantage of cold weather is that our bugs are smaller (they all die during winter!) lol...
Here in the summer it reaches over 100F and in the winter it goes to -30F!!!
So, beside DA, you guys can't complain with your nice and hot weather... ; )

Yeah I shallow stage too for best times.  Yeah i'm not complaining because we can pretty much golf and race year 'round!
