WTS; Gauging Interest to See

Just as the title say, I am considering selling a set of brand new Stainless Works high flow catted downpipes, picked up only. Because, I am considering buying an extended warranty on the SHO, I am feeling too lazy to be taking the exhaust apart every time a need comes to take the car in. As far as the price goes, not sure, what do you think would be reasonable?  I am contemplating of keeping the pipes and just dealing with the labor and pain of install...

I had those DP before and very familiar with them and to answer your question a fair price would be 450.00 IMHO and best of luck.  Z

I have Ford's ESP and extended BTB warranty and have had my DPs on, powder coated black at that, for over 2years and there has never been any mention of the mod even with warranty repairs.

X2 on that, always get complimented on the PPE DP from the tech's and especially when there driving the car up the ramps and inside the service area which sounds pretty cool and cant wait to see there expression when they see the Hotpipes and Tial bov.  Z  ;)

Thank you guys for the replays. About a month ago, I spoke to couple of service advisors at ford while having some recalls done on my other car, and was advised against any mods, lowering springs and even axle back exhaust. Per  them, if there is any major issue, they will  tell Ford and the whole warranty might be cancelled. A tech I know and the finance guy that both work there, both tell me to just bring the car back to stock before coming in and not to worry about it.

I'll tinker a bit more about it, but like I said, not sure if 5-10hp is worth my time messing  with installation.

Thats a smart move, better be safe than sorry based on your service advisors suggestion, sounds like there probably against installing a CAI,BTW if you do decide to sell the DP please put your username on a piece of paper along with the product and GLWS.  Z

That's not how it works and I'd find a new dealer. They are either stupid, ignorant, or maybe they are just Aholes. Now if you have a CAI and there is a problem they can ask you to return to stock to make sure said part isn't causing the issue. They sure as hell can't void your entire warranty because you install a basic air in/out component.

The problem with those DP's is that if you have to go back to stock, iirc, they will throw a code stock which is not an issue with the PPE catted pipes. So catch 22 with those.

I am not sure yet if I do want to sell them. I heard many people using spark plug fouler, which brings the 02 out a bit, which in fact keeps the light off(if that is the case). And that is not my concern at all, as I will be tuned if I do go though trouble of installing them.

I am just tying to weight my benefits here.

FoMoCo is correct to point that out because if you really have your mind set on tuning the car and install the DP you need to keep hunting until you set your eyes on a tuner friendly dealer, you can even call a different service dept and simply ask how much it would cost to install the DP IMO. Z

I think that this dealer in particular is a little bit not on the customer side, if it's under warranty fine, but when it is a borderline issue, they do not make that call for customer. In my personal case, they were like you can call the customer rep and see what they are willing to do for you.

Thanks for the offer, I don't mind getting my hands dirty every so often. My biggest concern is wasting time for something that may not be worth it.

Fomo and Z, you bring a valid point there. Worth a try.

$450 shipped and I'll take them. Or if you're close to MN I'll drive down and get them.
