2013 front shaft recall

Got the recall notice for front axle (half shaft?) Took it in and the said there was a little play in the rt, front ( if I remember right) they said parts are on back order and should be fine to drive for now. I've got two questions

Is there other specific components I should have them look at or replace while they are working on it?

I'm still going to the drags tonight - you think I'll be ok?

Mentioned here so many times is the infamaous tick sound coming from the front end,affected only the 13 SHO PP ,by replacing the wheel hubs and the TSB washers,if you hear any noise try to have them order the parts in advance and do everything in one shot,did mine about a month ago and since perfprmed the hubs and washers car feels amazing,hope this helps and good luck with the ride,also the rear license frame assembly recall.

Wouldn't press my luck if they are going to do a replacement.  Regular normal driving = ok.  Are you experiencing any other issues with the SHO?  In that general area, if you hear clicking sounds while turning wheel, could be a good time for hub replacement also.

I don't hear of feel anything. They are the ones that recommended the axle replacement

I talked with my service rep about symptoms of incompletely engaged right half shaft when I set up for inspection/possible replacement.  He said that unless or until it fails or disengages there's nothing.

I just got my car back this past Saturday from having that recall taken care of. All they do is inspect it, mine was fine at ~18K miles

Thats basically all they do is a quick inspection,you have any issues with any tick sound coming from the front end?

I had a tick at ~8-10K and they replaced some washers or something in both hubs to fix it. You are referring to the tick when you turn the wheels back and forth, right?

They probably replaced the TSB washers,which most of the time its only a temporary fix,just keep monitoring it and if you hear it again its your wheel hubs,wheel bearings thats causing the issue and its only affected the 13 SHO PP,good luck and hope this helps.

I have a non pp and i have the recall, also have a loud audible click/tick in the front end sometimes when going from park to reverse or reverse to drive. It has not done that untill 2-3k miles ago. Ive also developed some wicked torque steer around the time the clicking started. It will track straight coasting and breaking but under any accel it pulls left. Under heavy accel it will damn near pull a 90 degree turn, even while driving at 35-40mph. Im at 27k now. Shes going in tomorrow for all recalls, front driver side window squeak when rolling up, steering wheel not returning to position after exit and re-entry, and the remote start not working some times. She just gives a loud click and nothing happens. Jump in the car and it fires right up. Well see what they say.

SHOnGO good luck at the dealer and the way everything sounds to me that you will need a front half shaft replaced and the remote start does not work cause its detecting issues,window panel need to come off and put grease on the regulator and tracks,good luck an keep us posted.

Thanks they should take care of everything. Also forgot to mention my service advance track warrning popped up yesterday then went away after 15 sec. Thats when i decided to take it in. With my laundry list of fix its. =P

Looks to be a speed sensor,with the list you have try to get a loaner,like i did,good luck.
