2014 Ford Flex EB

Hi. I'm new here. Been lurking for a while but decided to join. Lot of good info on here.  I have a 2014 Ford Flex EB platinum white with the appearance package.  I usually drive my f250 6.7 as that is my work truck.  But am very interested in the ecoboost platform. 

Owned since new, changed over to amsoil in engine and trans.  Tried to do the ptu but seems I  have an earlier one with no drain plug, so that bites.  Have a x4 sitting on the shelf, going to get a tune shortly.  Removed factory plugs and gapped them.  But mainly it's my wife's ride, so just trying to keep it reliable. Hopefully not too long a post just haven't got my sig filled out.

Ps just got my fuel module replaced on the 16s31 recall, so hopefully one less thing to worry about!

Welcome, redneck1, glad to see ya put yourself into the spotlight :)  Post some pics of your Flex when you can, as well as of your work truck!  It does take a bit of determination to service the PTU, but because the PTUs with drain plugs also have very tight quarters, it may actually be less effort to service the non-drain plug ones.  Definitely give it a go.

Welcome! Nice ride! When you get around to tuning, I can't recommend AJP Turbo highly enough!!

Well, I'm waiting on Torrie. I have heard a lot of good about his tuning.  But we'll see.  Have to wait until sct releases my calibration.  I guess they did a reflash when they replaced the fuel control module.  May get some of ajp turbo tunes also.

To be on the safe side, it is recommended to always reflash back to stock before dealer work for that reason. You never now when a tire rotation may turn into an ECU reflash. LOL

After recently having a stuck injector, I now carry my X4 and stock 2 bar MAP (and a T20 torx) in my glove box, just in case. :)

I was just thinking that. I also have my preferences set to display the most recent post at the top of the first page, and Tapatalk always lists the latest post as #1. Makes it difficult to reference post numbers. :P
