Nearing 15Kmiles I noticed a shake on startup and near the same time an erratic in park idle i've been bone stock with no tune since my accident in january. I noticed that the car lacked pickup at times and would fall on its face as if it had no boost or was in a silent limp mode with no check engine light. I also noticed the cold shake/missfire was getting worse and worse.
I changed my oil at 20K miles and the next day was the 1st day of the cold snap here in FL, I used my remote starter and it quit at some point before I left to go to work; went to start it again and it honked once to indicate a failure.. Started it when I got in the car and it had a check engine light with normal idle and no shaking as if it was a missfire. I sent a vehicle health report and it told me it was a missfire. I read the codes using my SCT tuner and found it to have P0302 and P0305. Once the engine is warm the missfire goes away and the car will act somewhat normal except for the light.
I'm assuming this is from the intake valves being caked in carbon.
Other than taking this to the dealer(Kinda stuck atm with a job that makes me work 7:30am to 5pm almost everyday so not an option right now) what is normally done to fix this?
