Hi all, i found a 2014 SHO Tuxedo black on a dealer's website today that i plan to test drive when i get some time. It's currently selling for 22,888 with 51,374 miles on it. I'm not sure if it's the performance package but it's pretty much fully loaded. The question i have is what sort of problems should i be looking for at that mileage point , and is that a good deal should i decide to get?

In terms of price, it sounds about right if it is in tip-top condition.
Here is a 2015 black Performance Package for less : http://tinyurl.com/zj4k3pe

Regarding issues at the 50K mile mark, if the service history is up to date (always always check the service history) then you shouldn't have any trouble just with those miles put on it.

My 2010 Taurus has 150k miles on it and runs strong and i bought it off a hoon!

Go through the TSBs and recalls for 2013+ SHOs (though some 2010-12 stuff may apply)

The main concern is still the PTU, minor concern is the trans.  Hopefully the PO used the proper weight and quality engine oil through the lifespan, as well as good fuel.  I would plan on changing the spark plugs, or at least pulling the front ones just to determine condition.  Changing all fluids would also be a great idea, regardless.  The PTU fluid is a bit harder on the PP equipped SHOs, but can be done (there is a HOWTO article on that).

A look through the turbo intake tubing and/or intercooler would help you see how the PCV system has been doing.  If the valve covers are black composite (not aluminum), the latest revision is installed (good).

Look for any climate control and touchscreen related issues.  They can be expensive to fix without an extended warranty in place.
