Hello I have a 2016 Explorer Sport.  Do I need a catch can? It is all stock. Was wanting to do a tuner but really nothing else. Is anyone running this kind of set up? Thanks

I think this might be in the wrong forum. Maybe the mods can move it for better traffic.

Lots of people run just tunes with minimal changes from stock. OCC (oil catch can) is up to you. I run one, and given the choice, I'd spend the $$ on it again. Some others aren't sold on them.

There are TONS of threads regarding tuning and catch cans. Are you hands on and tech savvy, or do you let others wrench on your vehicles?

Welcome!

Welcome aboard the E.B.P.F tb09826 and due post some pics of your newly found X-sport.
How many miles on her?
I would skip on the OCC and invest in a quality tune which is certainly the biggest bang for your buck and finding a tuner friendly dealer is a plus.
I would say an OCC is not mandatory but a personal preference/choice and using a quality full synthetic oil is certainly ideal on this platform. Z :WELCOME:

Welcome to the community!  Having a catch can is not essential, but checking to make sure YOUR XSport doesn't need it IS.  Meaning keep an eye on the turbo piping and intercooler.  If you see pooling oil, you will want to a) clean your intercooler regularly, b) consider a catch can, and c) move to a less-volatile, full synthetic oil.
