3bar MAP questions

I installed my tune a few years ago and never was informed about upgrading the MAP sensor to a 3 bar. When I ordered my 93 tune It was never mentioned to me by Livernois and I never thought to ask. I had a significant power gain from the tune but want to know how much boost I might be missing out on and if I upgrade the sensor would I need to load another file? My car is running great so it would take quite a bit to make me modify it some more. Any input would be appreciated!

You will need to have the tune revised for the 3 bar MAP. If you install the sensor without the revision, it will trigger a CEL.

If it starts at all... And if it does the tranny will bang into reverse and 1st unbelievably hard... Promise.    V10 is the most current LMS tune and has the timing advances you have and more boost. The tune is free, but you'll have to have the 3BAR version. With v8 I noticed  considerable improvement in performance and smoother low end when I went to the 3BAR version.... It got my 0-60 to sub 4 sec on a good day. If you don't like it they can send you a lower version tune to revert to.... But I doubt you will.

How much boost do you think you are running now? Spikes and sustained? I would say if they have you at 12-14 psi now then you might not be overly impressed with a tune.....If you are only in the 9-12 psi range, which isn't much over stock then I would upgrade.

If I saw anything less than 13-14 psi on a 3 bar I would want my money back...And if the answer is to just to handle spikes there are ways to handle that without having to buy a 3 bar sensor....I'd run a 2 bar at sustained 13 psi all day and if it spikes to 16 no big deal and if it spikes to more than 16 when targeting 13 psi then the tune sucks

V8 time is almost all done with timing as basis of the power. There is increased boost to be had with v10 and even more with the 3BAR mod... You spend more money on a movie and a pizza... But don't tAke the word of us hacks... Call Anthony at LME and ask him... I did. Only way to deal with the what ifs is try it... Only then will you know.
