Active AWD gauge enabled on 2015 SHO

Paddle mode and normal attached.....

Max split looks to be 75R/25F

Stomping the gas gives an immediate rear bias quickly moving to 50/50 then 40/60

Looks like the 2013+ is using the newer jtekt.

Also, power is definitely sent to the rear during a drag launch.

Hope you put some gas in! LOL

Enjoy the gauge.  Its cool to watch.
I will gas her up in the AM.....We wanted to get home to eat, drink, and other reindeer games...

And it's very cool, I like shiny lights, lol.....

If anybody is wondering it took the tech about 15 minutes once we got the PDF instructions to open.

Perhaps that why I don't spin much compared to others ....not that I thought others were spinning profusely anyway...I dunno

Even when the 13 was tuned it would only spin briefly.....I think the different bias could definitely explain the different experiences some of us have had.

Lucky you!! I've been turned down by two separate dealers.

Apparently flashing a crisp $100 bill doesn't work anymore.

That would be dumb on your part anyway....its 15 minutes...less for a good tech...if they charge you 50 bucks that's already too much...good thing they turned you down other wise it would've cost you at least 150 with your tip...

I would call ford if you really want it done....if those techs can't follow a prepared procedure they those 2 dealers have problems...when some people are approached with service that is slightly outside the norm they lock up....surprising how some people's money isn't green anymore

PDF instructions you say, where might I find them? I would love to enable it on mine.

Something else I've noticed....under lift or very light throttle, no power is going to the front, but the rear stays energized, roll back in and the rear gets power first. Stand on it and the rear gets a bunch.

That leaves me scratching my head. So the system is at least capable of turning off the front?

We need more 2013+ guys to get this enabled....

It's really too bad Ford half-assed this gauge, even the Juke has a better functioning example.

If only we had Ford AWD pids...

The edge has a better awd gauge. It shows the power to each wheel. I've put one side of the edge on sand and the other on pavement and it does show the pavement side getting more power.

I have noticed on my sho that the rear is always active. Even just coasting down the road. Boosted launch has the rear maxed out until after second gear.

I have a 13' I am interested in what is going on here. Not quite sure how to make it happen. Will the dealer give me hassle or look at me like he has no idea what I am talking about

Either or both are a possibility, lol....

But then again you may find a competent advisor and tech

No ford car has a feature that you can change how much power goes to the front/rear. SUV vehicles may have the snow sand etc mode which effectively changes the traction settings to a predetermined amount.  The Explorer comes to mind.
