AJPTurbo Meth Tune.

You know, honestly, never paid attention.

I was/am more focused on my rpm's, as well as my boost gauge when launching.

Besides, I know in the back of my mind, based on all of my own previous experiences, that I'd be getting wheel spin upon launch anyways.

That spin has come in varying forms/degrees as my suspension, wheels, power levels, etc. have all changed over time.

Would you say upgrading your suspension cut back at all on the wheel spin?

Trying to figure out how much more I want to go with this thing before calling it quits and being happy.

Absolutely upgrading the suspension helped TREMENDOUSLY.

Just reducing that squat in the rear upon immediate launch, as well as reigning in that horrible front end lift with stock suspension, is night and day difference.

At around $300 for a set of H&R's at each corner, it'd be foolish not to upgrade at least to those. Plenty of video's to support this.

Now, if you desire creme de la creme of suspension upgrades (at least as it pertains to this platform) then flip for the Megan Racing Coil Overs and those will net an even greater improvement over the H&R's.

Seriously though.

Steel, I let you know next Sarurday how the new H&Rs work on my car.  Intial try on a street in Mexico, showed very little wheel spin at launch.  So in theory that should be zero at th e track.

I am going shut this one down for a time. Brad and I have worked out a meth tune for my car that seems to be working well. 15psi and 28 degrees of advance... we had a lot of hiccups along the way which not surprising as again, as I have previously stated many time that my car/strategy does not respond the same way as others.

The biggest issues remains of getting the power to the ground, we have not found a good way to curb the boost in first gear to prevent the ECU from cutting the load being sent to the PTU. Apparently this is a known issue on the 2010-2012 MY logic in the ECU that is not shared with the 2013+ MY SHO's.. hence why I am looking to upgrade the suspension..I am needing to get the tires warm and I can't brake boost... ECU shuts it down...

After 12+ revisions and testing I am done hammering the car for awhile. If I can get the car to hook I firmly believe I am looking at VERY low 12's, maybe with an exceptional launch and DA possibly clipping 11's...  This is based on datalogging times and street performance against a couple different Stingray Corvettes.. I have purposely been goading them so I can see what I got.. I have not lost... and they are low 12's high 11's depending...

My biggest concern is longevity putting this much power down... obviously the ECU is programmed to save its components, and we have been trying to by pass all of it.  Transmission/PTU/RDU and Engine are all a concern for me at this point... a dyno will confirm this but based on how the car feels I am pushing it... The datalogs from the last revision (and last one for now) are all healthy.

Oil change over the weekend was done, oil looked shot IMHO after 1800 miles but free of any debris. This morning had the Trans/PTU/RDU fluids swapped out...

At this point, until I can get a dyno done, I will be running the LMS 4+X Alky tune on the street since I am not worried about too much power with that one... after I get the dyno on AJPTurbo's tune, I might ask to dial it back depending on the numbers. If the numbers are good, I will load Brads tune.. I am hoping to stay under 500/500... regardless of 1/4ET's.

That "load cutting" @#$&ing ticks me off.  In manual mode it murders any hope of an instant throttle response.

Back on topic .. thank you for your work, both you and AJP.  you guys are still pioneering where everyone else seems to stop.

Gj :)

I highly recommend the Alky kit... if don't care about LMS tunes or support, you can order it for cheaper through Alky Control...
Did you have to call Alky Control to get the SHO kit because I don't see it on their website?  Also, how much of price difference?

You need to call Julio.... I don’t know price.

Yeah I hear you Brad and I have been working on my meth tune and we are up there! Going to go one more step up in power and call it good. The car is violent in 1st gear!!! Almost unusable..... lol
Wow  Brad is a God with this motor and I am sure other motors as well!!!
