It certainly launches faster, at least when I compare my non PP 2010 with my 2013 PP. A full tenth faster.Rich196 said:I was just curious, with or without a tune, is the SHO with the performance package any faster in the 1/4 mile?

ha I knew it. PP haters say what you want all things otherwise equal the lower gear ratio has to have advantage. It's common sense.SHO-Time said:For what it's worth, my brother-in-law owns a 2014 PP with an LMS V8 tune. I own a 2013 non-PP with an LMS V8 tune. We raced off of a stop light and he was 1 full car length in front of me the entire time. We raced up to 100 mph-ish.

Oh and my PP gets's upto 6th gear in S mode if I shift up with the paddles, however racing up only to 100 that should be irrelevant anyway.
Sorry, I'm confused... So you're saying non PP with the 2.77 would be quicker?FracaSHO said:68_GT said:ha I knew it. My 10' with PP shifts into 6th automatically. I really don't know where this 5th gear only talk comes from. And the lower gear ratio ALWAYS has the advantage. If you had a mustang with a 3:55 rear end, would you switch to a 3:27 or a 4:10? The lower gear gets the power to the pavement quicker and quicker launch = quicker ET. As my Dad says, "it's all about the hole shot!"
