If Ford's attention to detail is that bad, for that long, I can't help but wonder what else they've overlooked. Customers shouldn't have to track down problems and fix them on a new $30-40k vehicle. I'm sure Ford is aware of the problem, it is posted all over the internet.

Have non-forum members reported a similar issue?  Haven't checked myself.  There have to be enough reports to raise eyebrows at Ford.  A direct write-in campaign to Ford may work better than writing about it on a forum.

Would still like to get a headcount of people experiencing this problem, people having DIY fixed this problem, and people having done preventive fix for this potential problem.

Some answers here Manu... maybe start a poll?

easier to see results I think

Agreed, Tom.  I will set up a poll.

EDIT:  Poll is now up, hope it's clear to everyone.  Let me know if changes should be made before we start voting.  TIA!

I just voted but it looks like the voting may be locked...but I think I unlocked it, but you have to go to page 1 to vote. (I think)... :-[
