Bad mount already?

I'd be shooting through the roof if they did that to my car. I'd want them to pay me to get it fixed at a body shop of my choice. That's bs

Sorry to say, but the dealer has had a bad history with your SHO, and you REALLY need to find another shop.  Bit by bit they are destroying your ride.

This saga makes me sick!

I would agree that another dealer is in order.  I'd be trying to recover damages for the accident also. A wreck  cost money far beyond the body shop bill. I do think that Ford built a lemon... All manufacturers do from time to time... But add the damage and loss of use and... I'd be getting Ford involved and demanding that new SHO. They have all combined to deprive you of the true SHO experience on top of all the rest of the events!

I wouldn't let that dealers body shop touch your car. They'd do a nickel dime job. I'd be going after the dealer for a new car. Anything else is unacceptable.

I want the car replaced. Its a lemon and I had friends who sat in this car on the showroom floor months before I got it. And I had borrowed it at 180miles and bought it with 270ish on the clock. God knows what had been done to it before I got it.

Update, Regional Manager is now investigating the dealership, Car hasn't moved at the bodyshop, people at the bodyshop and dealer are afraid to talk to me. I yanked everything I had left in the car(i.e. hdd from sync) short of my LED conversion and hardwire kits for my camera and detector..

If anybody is curious on what the damage looked like, notice the a-pillars reflection on the top left is warped sort of..

Fender slammed under the a-pillar

Caliper and rotor scarred, If the do desire to give me the car back, all the brakes need to be done and the hubs/suspension replaced(I don't want weird wear later on)

I sent the lemon law notice yesterday certified mail per fl law and also sent an email to the Attorney General.

I miss my SHO, blowing the doors off people with the rental f150 isn't doing it for me as much XD.

I bet most of you are going to find me nuts for not suing this dealership already but I thought the issues came to a close and I was kinda happy with the car having at least 2-3 months of no issues with brand new lifetime warranty paint all around(eh maybe) and tonight my PTU exploded on a second gear shift

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdG1ZsoDJow

This failure probably explains the clicking around certain corners that I started to experience, Slower performance and reverse gear binding(continued after trans replacement)

The ptu oil was replaced at 31K by the stealership but the oil (2nd picture at the end) it doesn't look like it was replaced at all, It looks like a pasty mess that Tinkerbell sneezed on. Shortly after I noticed the explosion seems to have damaged more than the PTU itself, a large pool of transmission fluid started coming out of the car after moving it to see the gear oil.  I was 2 hours away from home and I called ford roadside, they offered to tow it a 1/2 mile up the road to tropical ford. I asked for a rental and was denied and told to talk to dealer, Tropical ford didn't have a loaner available; I called (redacted) and the manager(After explaining the previous nightmare with them) told me that he knew who I was and would cover my rental costs and have the car towed to them tomorrow. I had originally contacted some lawyers on this and most of them said lemon law; This is WAY beyond a lemon law case by any means..

Haven't seen a case like this yet with the PTU/Trans, but like the halfshaft, always has to be a first time.  Congratulations?  Hope you get this sorted out, maybe they will actually pay attention this time.  Lemon Law, at the least.

Just got a call from tropical ford. Turns out the diagnosis is the previous transmission  repair was botched and a bolt wasnt torqued down(go figure just like  my wheel by same mechanic)... A bolt fell out inside the transfercase(ptu) and nuked  the entire driveline and bent  a ton of stuff up. They  estimated 12-16k in repair  that ford wont cover.  The dealership  informed me they called gary yeomans and have yet to get a response on fitting the bill. Im also waiting  for ford corporate  to call me back once again, and im waiting on a lawyer too.

I smell the smell of a new car in the air, im not wanting this one fixed this time..

Kinda worked out the car broke right there.  I wonder if you would have nailed the car that pulled out.

Your cursed.  I'd set the damn thing on fire or put a helmet on and kiss a tree with it.

I guess with the holiday weekend approaching and many people on vacation the process might be delayed a bit and best of luck in getting rid of this curse for good .BTW any cliffs nearby, heck that might not even work out.

The dealer should be footing the bill, and for having the work performed elsewhere (location of your choice).  Plain & simple.

Funny enough I saw the Director of the service department at the offending dealership on my way to work this morning; We locked eyes at a light. Him in a 2005 ford five hundred; me in my beater gen 3 taurus(forced to drive this w/ no rental)  I don't want to come out on the bottom of this via insurance or fraud; the history of what has happened here is obviously sabotage

Major events

1. 10x me coming in to try to get the clicking hub tsb, pissed off the suspension tech chad
2. Car was wrecked before final attempt at tsb repair(raccoon damage)
3. Car fixed, Returned again due to faulty injectors causing misfire; Dashcam video: Chad came up to Engine tech and said : "this must be your buddys car?!?" Gary: "My buddy??, Oh you mean that fat little ***er?" Both laugh.. Chad: "Didn't he wreck this thing?" Gary: "Not surprised considering the way I think he drives it"
4. Had audio of dashcam video blared on the radio after being ignored by ford and dealership; carlos lira the GM at the time called me 2 hours later and wanted to speak with me, had the director of service bill posey give me an extended warranty on the car
5. Started to have issues where AWD was acting up and would freak out in reverse(went to another dealer, they wanted to blame my new tires and cited they were bald) I called corporate and they suggested to go back to GY, GY gave a deal on tires(got screwed later with no rebate) and an alignment, problem went away and came back.
6. Transmission failed 1,500 miles and 3 weeks later (whining, failed shifts, no shift indicator) took GY 1 month to get it on a lift and tear down; another month to repair it and another month to do bodywork after destroying it from a loose wheel that somehow only came loose after the test drive(Wonder if this was for me? and not one of their pesky porters)
7. Rained excessively in FL, neighborhood flooded but not above doors. Water made it into driver rear floorpan. I investigated and discovered the access panel for the fuel sender was pushed under the car and left for a long time(Fume Hazard, Obviously done by the guy replacing injectors who thought I was a Fat ****Er). I still have yet to get the smell out of the sound deadening of mildew.
8. Noticed fresh trans fluid on PTU and near trans during an oil change a month later, took it into mullinax; they cited it was leftover from the repairs.
9. Another month later returned to mullinax after noticing an exhaust leak and also asked about clicking noises near driverside axle which were not found(PTU noise?)
10. Add'l month goes by and as I get into traffic I get passed halfway on throttle, 1st gear downshift then explosion resulting in tons of fluids being dumped from trans, ptu and rdu(idk why) Cited as a bad repair from GY bolt got loose nuking drivetrain and involving engine block and that warranty would not cover this..

They can fix it all they want; even if repaired I don't trust the original work on this car; I feel like this car is ruined and wont EVER drive the same from the original accident let alone this one.. I'm going for a replacement.
