So this morning tried to start the SHO and it was dead .... what battery do you all recommend. Dealership is closed so oem is out of the question.
SouthtxSHO,to be honest with you Interstate batteries are one of the best batteries you can buy,my last one lasted me 7 years, only thing they are a bit more expensive than others but well worth it and maintenance free and a 5 rear warranty, compared to the M.C which has a 3 year.southtxSHO said:Interstate batteries any good ?
Cool , I can get it for $110 with my bros discountZSHO said:SouthtxSHO,to be honest with you Interstate batteries are one of the best batteries you can buy,my last one lasted me 7 years, only thing they are a bit more expensive than others but worth it.southtxSHO said:Interstate batteries any good ?
Thanks for the tip SHOddedSHOdded said:Should be fine, though on the expensive side. Just watch out for cracks in the casing due to extreme heat.
Where I live in Florida (Tampa). I haven't had a battery last more than 2-3 years. The heat kills them fast.kinder said:Do you know why it died? 4 year old battery should not be dead unless abused. (drained repeatedly, improper charging etc.)
I was running an Optima Red top in my Subaru that never even hinted at failure even in -40c weather. And that was running extra gauges, upgraded fuel pump, water pump for my AWIC and HID kits. Depending on where you are maybe a yellow top will do you?

I'm glad somebody said this, becasue I've had the same experience in Texas. No matter what I buy, I get about 3 years out of them before they go kaput and drop a cell.
Ha, interestingly, I've already replaced the battery in my 13 SHO too.
