Boost Question

Unless we are all using the same measuring tools under the same conditions, can we really compare boost levels with any accuracy?

A poster on another forum, who often takes his SHO to LMS and has a relationship with Dan Millen, told me that his custom dyno tune only produced boost in the 13 PSI range.  The key, according to him, is the amount of sustained boost (along with appropriate timing and A/F ratio) and NOT maximum boost spikes.  Supposedly, the 4X is a more streetable version of his dyno tune.  Again, I do not know the conditions or what he uses to measure boost.  I know he has a low 12 second SHO, though, without using meth.

Just pulled a reading of 15.8 on torque? That seems awfully high?
Na, depending on ambient temp, heat soak ect. I reach as high as 16.1 if I really get on it. But for the most part around 15 peak is where I am at.

I would say that is normal from what I have seen.

I just set a new (for me) record of 14.1 lbs. The difference as I see it is my car was parked for maybe 20 min allowing heat soak to soar to 68 degrees. Quick blast through 1st and 2nd into partial 3rd. Earlier before I parked and let the car sit, a quick blast netted only 13.3 lbs.
