Brake lights staying on sometimes

Anytime I park facing downhill there's a good chance that with just the weight of the brake pedal on the brake switch my brake lights stay on ....

Is there a way to adjust this? It does it so randomly and sometimes on it's own after I have parked it and gone inside. This morning my wife came outside and found them on ... who knows how long they were like that....fml

Your switch is probably going bad and sticking. do you ever feel your car hesitate when trying to accelerate at cruising speed?

Any other issues with the brake system?  Sponginess or hard pedal or ...  On the Gen 4.1s, the booster would become weak over time, ultimately causing the master cylinder to weaken as well.  Any DTCs in the PCM?

I've always thought the brake pedal was spongy right from the day I bought it. I've since upgraded the brakes and lines and although it did improve a bit it's still not as firm as it should be

No codes at all

My brake lights would stay on sometimes. replaced the brake switch and haven't had a problem since. the ford stealership wanted to charge me around $300 i think haha takes 5 mins to install and the part was 28 or so on rock auto when i did mine last year. literally takes more time to get down there and get in a comfortable position than to change the part.

Same thing for me on my 2011

This will probably be the route I take too then .... it makes most sense.
