But it is their fault for selling a faulty car... thus making him drive from BFE to civilization.
I agree. And if they try to say it's not their problem then have them tow it next time.

I appreciate all your guys feedback I am working with ford Customer relations center and ill keep you guys updated.

So I just thought I would update you guys. The car is still leaking oil and now the inside passenger front door handle return spring broke out of the blue. Ford CRC has stated the will not compensate me at all for all the issues I'm having. I have put over 600 miles on my car just from driving back and forth to the dealer for repairs and the car only has 2,200 miles on it. So at this point I'm fed up I have the best CA lemon law attorney on the case. I'll list my issues so far with the car below keep in mind most of these issues required two trips to the dealer (53 miles away) because they did not have the parts in stock so one trip just to diagnose then another trip back to get the part installed.

1. Check engine light came on day after it was bought (Emissions solenoid)
2. Oil Leak
3. Taurus door name plate missing or never installed from factory
4. Oil leaking still after they said they fixed it
5. Inside door handle return spring broken
6. Oil still leaking

Best of luck to you MeanSHO,glad you took my advice regarding the lemon law attorney, hopefully they can get things resolved for you, just be patient,a friend of mine was sold a brand new vehicle which turned out to be non carb compliant and couple of months later gave him a new car,not bad.

Thanks for your guys insight. It sucks the car is having these issues because I can see it really is a fun vehicle to drive but now I'm so upset at the whole situation I don't even want to drive the car anymore. I know the lemon law deal can be a long drawn out process so I will be patient and I will keep you guys updated.

Update to the update the car is currently at the shop again for the oil leak and now they are saying its a bearing on the PTU causing the leak. They are also saying the fix is above there tech data they are allowed to do and they are waiting to here back from ford engineers for a fix they said more then likely they will change the whole PTU.

You should be able to get 2 or 3 months of payments paid for by Ford Corp.  It's the least they could do.  What a cluster.  It wasn't wrecked or stolen was it?

I see a couple new 2013 SHOs in San Diego still......guess don't buy a 2 year old car that's still new...

That is just a pile of B.S,is this the same dealer you purchased from? nice way to ruin the holiday spirit, hopefully you get compensated for all the troubles, happy holidays and good luck on a speedy resolution.

You would think they would compensate me some how but the Ford CRC manager flat out told me they will not compensate me at all. That's fine but I'll be telling everyone about my experience with Ford and I guarantee they will lose at least a few sales from my family members, Friends, and any future new car sale from myself.

Yeah steer clear of those new 2013 SHO's sitting on the lot a Galpin Ford in CA they have three still last I checked.

Yeah it does suck but i'm done getting upset about it now that time has past. I'm just letting the lawyer take care of it now. It was putting me in a bad mood and it wasn't fair to my family to have to deal with that. Happy holidays to you also!

Definitely a terrible experience!

Maybe 2 years is too long to "just sit" for a car.  I bought my '13 SHO new in in Sept of '14... paperwork showed it to have been built 9/13 and shipped to the dealer where I purchased.... I have had a good experience, and like you, saved about 10K on the deal.

That's a good point I know in the aircraft world you don't want jets even brand new jets to sit for the same reason they start forming problems they never even had when they were flying daily.

I'm glad you have had a good experience I just seem to have gotten a lemon I don't blame the car design at all as I see numerous posts from you guys/gals who love your SHO's and I can see what the car can be.

So the ford engineers think fluid is getting into the PTU from the trans causing the PTU to go over serviced and leak. So they are going to put dye in the trans and then check the PTU fluid for traces of dye? IDK sounds pretty ridiculous to me.

Commonly known as the PTU seal leak in Ford Edge circles since 2007.  Needed a Ford engineer for that???

So Just thought id update you guys again. The car continued to leak oil after the last visit so it's back in the shop. This time they drained the PTU into a filter and said it was full of metal and that the PTU failed internally. So now the car is getting a new PTU at only 4,000 miles. My car has been in the shop for a total of 20 days now combined once it passes 30 days its an automatic lemon law and I really hope it gets to 30 days at this point i'm so fed up with this POS.

Hate the experience you've had... Bet your SHO was a Mon, Fri, or Sat build. The sad part, beyond the obvious and justified frustration, is that you haven't been able to do the things that make this car really fun to drive.  If you don't get to 30 days and keep the car I hope the saga is over for you following this.  You deserve to have some fun driving.
